This story is based on the brilliantly demonic idea's of "Shin
Megami Tensei"=True God Ressurection. The whole atmosphere, demon
summoning, bases and the idea of death helping out the main character
are a copyright of Atlus entertainment. The plot is my own but using all
of Shin Megami's tensei's idea's and theories it has become a fanfic
because of all legal purposes. I am making no money off of this and do
not plan to. Atlus may use any idea's presented here mostly because of
the massively large, {All demons, devil summoning and so on said up
above......} content of Shin Megami Tensei things here in this fic.

Part 1: Who is the Devil summoner?...........

Matthew awoke to a small room. Light shined through an open window
close by causing him to close him eyes. It felt like waking up every day
but today he was waking from death. He then realized he was lying on a
hospital bed. It was comfortable but still he wished he was waking up in
his own bed instead of in a hospital. Then noticing a sharp pain in his
shoulder he noticed there were stab wounds showing under his white
medical coat. It seemed the man wanted to be sure Matthew was dead. The
pain stung wildly like a thousand bee stings, at least he was alive.
He looked around the room to see a few medical objects around, most
connected to his arm. Chairs and windows and tables littered the small
room. It did not seem to be in great order. Could be worse, but could be
better.
Matthew looked up to see a woman open the door. She was about six
feet tall and wore a white nurses uniform, all well and tidy, perfectly
set on her body. She had long blond hair which stretched down to her
legs. Her eyes were a deep blue and she smiled as she saw he was awake.
Pulling her clipboard from her left hand moving it to the right she
lifted up a sheet of paper clipped on it and nodded. Its nice to see
your awake. She stopped for a second and looked at the sheet again.
Matthew Anderson. Im one of the nurses in this wing, Mrs. Bragg. She
then walked over to him a patted him on the shoulder.
Mrs. Bragg then walked out through the open door and soon returned
with Matthews mother walking behind her. His mother was a little
shorter then the nurse and a little plumper. She had short curly hair
going down to her shoulders. Her face was a little tanned and worn and
starting to wrinkle. She wore a purple te-shirt and red shorts. Oh your
okay! When I heard you were attacked I thought the worst! She ran over
to Matthew and started to kiss him.
Matthew quickly evaded the attacks on his dignity and pushed his
mother away. Do you have my pocket computer?
His mom seemed disappointed but nodded. She reached into her purse
which was just slung across her arms and pulled out a small oval object
made of plastic. It looked a lot like a case for glasses. Her you go.
She passed it to Matthew as he opened it up to make sure it was not
damaged in any way. When it clicked open into two connected parts each a
dull grey. The bottom half had a keyboard on it while the top part had
the screen. He looked around some more when he noticed a new key was on
the board. It was right next to the backspace key. The key was the same
size as the backspace but was a black color and had a pentagram on it.
The pentagram was a light purple and looked exactly the same as the one
in his dream, was it a dream?
Matthew frowned as he hit the power button and it booted up. He
moved his hand in a way to gesture them to go away. Which they did,
closing the door behind them.
Matthew sighed as the computer booted into windows 2004, the latest
edition. He entered into Internet explorer and began to search under,
Devil summoner.
After a second of loading time it found one result. The web site was
called, Devil summoner: Megamis home page. He clicked on the web site
and it opened into a screen showing a large white pentagram. It spun
around faster and faster until it spun so fast that Matthew got dizzy.
Then he tried to exit the web page but it wouldnt close. The
pentagram then stopped spinning and Matthew began to recover from the
dizziness. Then he tried to close it again hoping it would work this
time but then the computer crashed. No, it didnt crash, it shut down
completely. Matthew tried to reset it but it never worked. Nothing was
working.
Matthews frustration grew as he just shut the computer and laid it
on the table next to the phone. Then he started to wonder where his dad
was, he should have visited him. Matthew then picked up the phone and
dialed the number for his house.
The dial tone sound rang through his ears. Then someone picked up on
the other side. His mothers voice was heard. Hello.
Mom. Where is dad? He should have come to see me or is he working
late?
The sound of depression held heavily in her voice. I wanted to wait
until you were better to know but. She stopped for a second, he knew
she was crying and guessed what she was going to say next. Hes dead.
    Matthew shook his head. How?
From what they told me he was working at his desk, while you were
at school, when he had some terrible chest pains. There was a man who
was talking to him at the time and helped him to the washroom thinking
some cold water would do your father some good. Every foot they went
made your father feel worse and worse. When both of them reached the
washroom, the most disturbing thing happened. Your father looked up at
the man and his eyes were covered in blood.
According to the man it was like his eyes were vanishing and the blood
was coming out. It didntcome out though, it spewed out. Then he keeled
over and spat about three liters of blood onto the floor.
Matthew was disgusted and shocked and he felt like he was going to
throw up. But mom, how did this all happen?
His mom sounded even more in distress. Look I dont know so good
by. I need to go now. Good bye. Then she hung up abruptly.
He couldnt blame her, he was pretty bet up by this himself. But he
had to sleep today. And tomorrow he would go to the morgue. With or
without anyones permission.

He awoke in spinning darkness. No he never awoke, this was a dream.
He knew it and he could usually control his dreams but now he couldnt.
Maybe it was more then a dream, maybe it was not a dream at all.
He looked around and it was the same place as the place where he met
death. Then
voices called all over him. Only the devil summoner can. and The
darkness scourge.
    He then awoke.

It was dark out now, he was a little nocturnal, he had to admit
that. But its easier to do this in the dark. He got up out of the bed
throwing the sheets to the floor. Looking over to one of the chairs he
noticed that his old clothes were slung over it.
He smiled a forced smile, all smiles now would be forced because of
what happened to his dad, all smiles. But he might smile again for a
reason, but no real reason but smile because of a sadistic act against
someone who had wronged him. He smiled at the fact that they were left
there and changed into them. Then moving to the door he opened it, they
left it unlocked! Then he moved stealthily through the halls. There was
only dim lighting but luckily he got directions from a map posted on the
wall. There seemed to be no one in the corridors for an odd reason, it
was only ten oclock.
After passing across room and room and down an elevator he reached
the morgue. The walls were a light white as was the tiled floor. Then
moving down a long hallway he reached a doorway. He turned the knob back
and forth, it was locked. Then looking next to the door henoticed it was
key card lock. Then smiling he pulled a key card from his pocket. He
stole it when the nurse patted him on the shoulder like a dog, stupid
bitch. He then swiped it through the machine and the light turned green.
Opening the door he revealed a dank room.
The room was not lit and looked rather dull. The floor was a grey
concrete and the walls were blocked by what looked like little filing
cabinets. But he knew dead bodies were within. The room stretched on
forever. So many bodies, so many dead in this city of Delmatropilis. The
city closest to Toronto, but it was not that big. Canadas population
tripled after all the refuges from Great Britain after the French
against English war of 2001. The English won but they lost so many
soldiers and civilians that it may has well as been a defeat.
He walked down the hallway until he reached the cabinet with his
fathers name on it. Then opening it he gasped as it was empty, no body.
They had not taken it for burial yet, but
where was the body?
He then felt a pain on his backside as he was knocked to the ground
with a blunt object. After he hit the floor with a thud and the pain
shot through him like a dagger. He turned around to see the nurse Mrs.
Bragg looking down at him. Bad boy, stealing my card. And bad boy for
living through all of this. And now you die! Pulling a gun from behind
her. She then pointed it at him about to fire when she burst into
flames.
Her face twisted in agony as she melted into a liquid that
evaporated into nothingness.
Matthew frowned in disgust at what happened. As he looked up to see
death looming over him where Mrs. Bragg was before.Thats great. Death
saved my life, how ironic.
Death frowned. I prefer to be called the grim reaper. But I cant
save you anymore, I can only come to this world once a year. So watch
out. Now take this. He bent down picking up the gun and handing it to
Matthew. Take care of this and make sure no one sees it. Only use it if
you have to. Remember to watch your back and trust no one.
Death turned his back to Matthew but Matthew raised a question.
Where is my dad, is he dead?
Death turned around. Hes dead. I know that much. For his body I
dont know. He paused for a second before continuing. I do suggest you
leave this hospital. Now that the nurse is dead, they will come for you.
Better not go to your house either, they will check there first. Find a
place to hide and only come out when its time. Devil summoner. With
that death vanished.
Matthew looked as death vanished. Then frowning he got up and headed
out into the cold bitter night. He had to find a place to stay. When his
mother found him she would kill him. He was not the kind of person to
believe in all of the superstition but the whole world is now screwed up
and he had to unscrew it, or so death says. Now off into the night, a
crusade against an enemy he never knew about, only feared. Shoving the
gun into his pocket and then he left the hospital.
