This is a challenge for all of us... myself included.

Try to write a fanfic about a popular series- I think this applies to Ranma, 
as well, because to my knowledge, it hasn't really been done- with no 
combat, no real angst, no comedy... just a situation outside what they 
normally do. Such as Evangelion units being used for clearing up after a 
nuclear incident, or helping after an earthquake.

Something DIFFERENT, y'know? Something Dramatic, but more... mundane than 
epic combats, love polygons, terminal angst or farce.

I may have written a contradiction there, but you know what I mean. Go and 
read J. Austin Wilde's 'Snipes in Wonderland' for a good example of what I 
mean.
