A point that was brought up during the recent Canon Wars was the fact that
there was no data about if having characters "in character" affected the
quality of a fanfic. Well, I want to fix that. My survey question is:

"Is having all the characters either "in character" or "out of character,
but explained why" a significant factor in a good fanfic?"

Notice that these are for FANFICs (as opposed to regular fiction). I also
realize that there will always be exceptions, but as a general rule for you
individually...

Please respond PRIVATELY. (Assuming I get enough responses to justify it,) I
will post the responses in about a week, when hopefully it won't matter
anymore. This will help settle disputes should they crop up again later
