Sigh, does this thread pop up once every year..It seems like it to
me...:) (Though sometimes it's called OOC debates..^^)

Let's see if we can't put some cold water on this. As a writer, I believe
you can ignore, fold, spindle, mutilate, or follow Canon rules as you
feel. But as a reader I believe you can not like/ or like a fic depending
on how it follows the series Canon....

Ahh, contridiction you say, but it isn't...:)

One of the great Freedoms of Fanifc is your abaility to explore areas of a
series that isn't covered in the manga. Or to take it in a new direction,
one which may not fit a series. It's a staple of some fanfic genres....

Just don't expect some readers to go along with you, some of them may like
stories within a certain style or that don't stray far from the orginal
idea. That's perfectily all right though, they have a right to like what
they like. The same as the writer has a right to write what he wants to
right...:)

*Sigh* Debates like this pop up because people take fanfic too seriously,
forgetting that it is just a hobby. Just because I don't like a fic
because it's too serious, say like a Bitter End, doesn't mean I have to
rain on it's parade. I'll just sit back and BBSR or something light and
funny, while the people that enjoy the darker side of fnafiction can enjoy
stories like that. there's room for the both of us man...

it's supposed to be fun, so if you don't like what you read, read
something else...:)

Now, If you pardon me I'll stalling on yet more Hime-chan fanfic...^^;;;;

Ja ne!!
