has their thinking capacity been neglected. After all martial arts is very
much a state of mind. And Ranma wins battles because he usually outhinks
opponents who are stronger than him.

Imperial Japan in Quantum Destinies has carried this chauvanism farther.
So it isn't surprising how arrogant Gemma and Ranma from this world are,
considering themselves to be smarter and better than their counterparts
from
the Ranma 1/2 worlds. They don't care that their actions may not be what
their hosts might have wanted. They don't consider why Gemna and Ranma
stay
in the situation they are in or what they might feel.
Scientist Gemna and Martial artist Genma are the same. Each feels that he
can make any changes he wants in the life of his counterpart.
Its funny that Scientist Genma and Ranma consider themselves better while
being part of a Fascist empire that oppresses and enslaves others.

I think it's very simple, Anime/Manga Genma and Ranma trained in the
Martial Arts all of their lives which means their thinking capacity has
been neglected and combined with their macho egos, are unwilling to admit
when they need help or made a mistake.

In Quantum Destinies, Ranma's original attitude was that of a sterotypical
bookworm/genius. He's used to working by himself on his own projects add
the fact that he scored a perfect score in the Imperial Academy's entrance
exam, he feels that he doesn't need a lab partner (If it ain't broke,
don't
fix it).

Also, Scientist Genma and Ranma are two scientists who do research for the
sake of knowledge. They have no idea about Project Phoenix.

Finally, Scientist Genma and Ranma ARE better than their ANIME/MANGA
counterparts (and that includes the Shampoo 1/2 and related fanfics bunch)
simply because they are willing to THINK BEFORE THEY ACT. In the entire
Ranma 1/2 Anime/Manga series, the cast never really bothers to find out
what's going on in a given situation - that's why we see the infamous
Ranma
getting knocked into Low-Earth Orbit courtesy of Akane's Transdimensional
Hammer.
