Regarding the fic idea, the premise
sounds fine enough, although I think
you'll have to come up with an
explanation for why Nerima is in
the Final Fantasy world, or vice
versa (I can't remember what planet
the FF world is called).
 

     Well, Ranma and Akane are pretty obligatory.

If it's going to be a bit of a dark fic, it's no
problem including everyone, since you can
kill 'em off anyway. ^_^

Personally, I'd like to at least see on the Ranma side:
Ranma, Ryouga, Mousse, Tarou (my main men!)
On the Final Fantasy 6 side, I'd like to see:
Locke (for comedy value), Terra, Shadow,
Sabin, and of course, Ultros! ^_^
Say, do you think Cyan looks a bit like Soun? ^_^

me privately, I have some advice for you
since I've had some bad experiences
regarding writing crossovers fics like this,
and it might help you out.

      What concerns me is the vast difference in power
levels. Even strongest characters from R1/2 like
Cologne, Herb, and Ranma are probably only as good as
level 15-20 in FF3 terms. FF3 characters in levels
along 90s are capable of duking it out with Dragon Ball
characters. So the story would have to take place pretty early in FF3
and very late in R1/2.

Nah, power levels are easily adjusted to suit the
needs of a fanfic. Look at Halftime - the Ranma
Chronotrigger cross. Aaron just adjusted the
power levels so that everyone could fight on level.
Oh, and I think that not even a level 99 Locke
stands a chance against Super Saiyan Gohan,
and all of them together wouldn't stand five
seconds against Brolli. ^_^

      Oh well, there weren't any good FF3/Ranma
crossover at all, so I'm counting on you.

There were actually other FF3/Ranma 
crossovers before this?
