 Well, as I recall. The paranoid Cap IV was actually from that time period,
 which is why they had Cap I and Falcon face off against him and Bucky III
 (who went on to become Nomad III).

 Yeah, but if anyone is the heart of the team, it's Cap. And, as flawed as
 he is, Ranma still pretty much idealizes the never give up no matter the
 odds attitude Cap has.

[True.  But what Ranma doesn't have is the ability to bring people together 
for a "greater good" for more than three minutes.  Soon after they start 
bickering with one another.  That's an issue you'll have to deal with; the 
fact that most of these guys probably wouldn't trust one another to watch 
each other's backs.  Ranma woudn't trust them because he doesn't think that 
he needs it or that any of them are good enough to be able to keep up with 
him enough to to be able to.  Ukyo wouldn't 'cause she's probably a tad 
untrusting because of Ranma.  Akane would trust them but after one fight in 
the beginning when nobody was there for her, she'd start looking out for 
number one.  and Ryouga would take any chance to stomp Ranma.]
