Description: Fusion between the Marvel's Avengers and the Ranma cast,
telling
their individual and collective origins.
Comments: This is something like the fifth or sixth such effort.
Really? That is a surprise. I hadn't read any before now. There was a good
one that was a Ranma/JLA fusion. I think Matthew Campbell wrote it, but
that had to have been well over a year ago now and I don't think he
continued it.
All the
previous ones have collapsed because they were plotless, so after the
author introduced the characters he then had nothing to do with them.
This one corrects that problem by introducing a serious villian at the
start,
so it's prospects are much better.
Heh. Thanks. I pretty much have the primary storyline plotted out, along
with a variety of sub-plots. Hopefully it will work out.
Some thoughts:
Captain America sounds far better than Captain Japan to me.
True, but then he would hardly be the 'Ideal Man for His Country' that
Nodoka wants him to be if he called himself that.
On the other
hand "Maiden Japan" has a certain ring to it.
You'll see. ^_^
I like Iron Rose for a name,
Thanks.
although Kodachi seems to have lost a good deal
of her wacky personality. Pity.
Well, she's going to 'blossom' somewhat now that she's an Iron Rose.
Remember, Tony Stark was the playboy and 'Iron Man' was the cold warrior
to throw off anyone that would connect the two. Now the roles are slightly
reversed for Dachi.
Will her arch-enemy be "Silver Samurai"?
Smart money says, "Yes".
You shall see.
Hawkeye? I can't get past the real origin of the name. What was the
name
of the Squadron Supreme Archer?
The Golden Archer. A parody on the name of 'Green Arrow', just like the
entire membership of the Squadron Supreme was. No plans for the entire
Squadron Supreme/Sinister to be here, but there will be at least one
member that will pop up later.
(Useless fact: Hawkeye did once impersonate the Golden Archer in order to
shake Captain America out of his depression, right before Cap's first
outing as Nomad. ^_^)
conquer the Earth. Akane, having better sense that to argue with the
local
masonry, chose to flee as quickly as she could on her bad leg.
"than to argue". That is, incidentally, a marvellous turn of phrase.
Thank you.
