*The scene opens in a dank, dark cellar.  In the off-color light, the
title lines of a dozen or so dark grimoires are faintly visible: "The
Necronomicon", "Monica's Story", "Sailor South Park, Ep. 2: Chibi-Usa's
Circumcision".  A hunched figure sits at the table, typing feverishly
before looking up.  As he does so, we can see the screen where he has
been repeatedly typing the sentence, "I will not have so much to drink
at the Big Fire World Domination Party that I oversleep and miss the
fanfic panel, thus blowing a perfect opportunity to meet Ukyou-sama." 
The figure speaks.*

"Oh, hello.... I've just finished a long and fruitless battle with the
Dark Force of the Universe, known more commonly as Bill Gates, who has
been adding so many so-called 'features' to Hotmail that my account was
frozen, unable to send out.  Deciding that discretion would be the
better part of valor, I have retreated to the haven of
Yahoo!--Hopefully, this will provide a hiding place from the Evil
Empire."

"As the list has been undergoing a lot of growth during the period in
which I was held incommunicado, I will be reposting Illuminations, at
the rate of about 2-4 Chapters a night, until we are current, starting
tomorrow.  After that, I will be posting the newest chapter of
same--expect to see it sometime next week."

"Furthermore, I will be returning to my usual review duties, including
prereading on a regular basis--so if I'm a scheduled prereader for you,
please, PLEASE, update your address book."

"Final note:  Although I was... unable to make the fanfic panel at
ACen, and thus blew the opportunity to meet Ukyou-sama, I did get to
meet many of my other faves: Gary Kleppe, Lara Bartram, Sean Gaffney
and Matthew Harrison among others.  Not too bad for my first Con, and
wonderful inspiration.  Bridgette Wilde is, by-the-by, an excellent
artist."

"Oh, and remember: the more Lara denies something posted as part of
Mercutio's diary, the more likely it is to be true."

*The light fades, leaving the only the glare of the computer screen.
