However, there are some problems with that approach. Assuming that
the
I'll probably get in trouble for this later, but I've a physics lesson to
propose that could explain this.
Black Moon clan are descended from exiled rebels against Serenity, it
works better if they are exiled before the ice. That gives them a
thousand years to grow in power and craziness before they have to take
Earth on. Otherwise they have no more than a couple of generations.
In popular scientific theory if one travels away from Earth in a rocket,
then less time will pass for the person on the rocket than for a person on
Earth (relativity, a sticky subject). This is due to relative gravities for
someone on the rocket and someone on Earth.
Okay, so perhaps the Nemesians weren't sent in exile on a rocket (point is
moot anyway), but here's this: what if, relative to the Earth, the black
moon had even LESS gravitic force acting upon it than Earth? (Nemesis
possibly has the same gravitic pull as Earth, but Earth also has a big
yellow ball near it called the Sun, and if I'm not mistaken, if Nemesis is
in an erratic orbit it probably doesn't have much other outside gravitic
forces acting upon it). Theoretically speaking, the people of Earth will
experience a slower timeline than the people living on Nemesis (because
Earth has a relative hyper-gravity compared to Nemesis).
If this theory holds, then depending on gravitic forces the Nemesians can
age several generations in a short amount of time (Earth time, that is).
Of course, all this can be shot down if Nemesis were in proximity of a
more powerful sun (which I think is likely because Wiseman, I believe,
described a 'dark sun,' which could mean anything in terms of star
classification), in which case the Nemesians would pass time slower.
