About Anime North.  I have to say it probably isn't the BEST convention out 
there (I went for the first time last year) but if you're looking to buy 
merchandise it's very good.  They show pretty good anime in the viewing 
rooms (They had stuff like Ranma, Rurouni Kenshin, Escaflowne, etc. last 
year as well as some not so well-known stuff)  I don't know about the panels 
(mailnly because I never actually went to one) BUT I did see a bunch of 
people off this list there (Very nice Trench coat and bokken I must say :P)  
Of course, f you like Anime ANY convention is probably worth going to.  
They're holding it in a hotel this year I here (unlike last year where you 
had to go up a million floors just to get to a room :P)  but I'd say it 
would probably be worth the drive (And there's a big plus that you are about 
15 minutes walking distance from China Town ^^)  Hope this helps!

Well let's be fair.  AN is only three years old and is fan run.  Last year
was much better than the first year and this year should be even better.
It is being held at a hotel this year with a TTC bus line running right
past it.  There's a shopping mall across the street and if you can handle
it take the bus east on wilson to Dufferin, then 5 minutes south on
dufferin and you hit Yorkdale mall and the subway.  15 minutes on the
subway and you're in chinatown, or anywhere else in the city.

If anyone needs directions I'll be there in security capacity.  And if you
need food there are tonnes of places in walking distance.
