WINCE<< Aside from the obligitory "Akane never killed anyone with her
cooking.... Yet." comment, I was most drawn to the end quote here. I do
recognize it, but I've read "the Cat" and all of Heilein's works, and I dont
remember seing it in "CAT". It does, however, definatly appear in one of his
"Teen" works, Starman Jones.

Once again, though, Akane shows a bit to much sensitivity about her cooking
skills, though. This epitath would describe Ranma in more ways than one.
Not just at the dinner table (Regardless of who was cooking) but in life in
general. Yes, the man did use the Satome secret Technique once in a while,
but he always returned to finish what he started. eventually. He never
backed down from the challenges life threw at him. And yet Akane sees this
simple affirmation of Ranma's philosopy twords life as a subtle jab that it
was her cooking that did him in.
