In the opening paragraph Akane feels "an old anger." Thus Akane
never did figure it out (probably hadn't thought about it), but was
asked about it by Ukyo some time in past after Ranma was telling
a story.

- And how did Akane know about Ranma's promise?  Did I miss something?  And
I somehow doubt _that_ revelation would be pleasant for Ranma, unless Akane
has changed more than I think she has...

Maybe I need to put a flashback in before Akane has her talk with Ryoga. 
Bascially Ranma was telling a story to Ukyo, entertaining her. Then she 
turned to Akane and asked about P-chan and Ryoga. After Akane had calmed
down, Ranma explained all about the promise. 

- You need some way of easily distinguishing the Ukyous and Ryougas.  Even
when one of them is absent, I keep getting confused.  I have to keep
reminding myself that *this* Ukyou doesn't carry around a spatula, etc.

I know, it was a problem I hadn't thought about when I named the characters.
Typically I make references like little Ukyo, and Ranma all calls the elder 
Ukyo Ucchan, but other than that I can't use much. If I refer to like Ukyo as 
Chibi-Ukyo or somesuch, then it'll be jarring when characters call her Ukyo.

- Ranma giving Genma advice.  And Genma listening... O_O

Hehe, but will he take it? 

- That being said, I'm still finding this amusing. :)
