::sheepish wave::  Gomen, minna-san...

Lemme give y'all a little tip: as much as you can, keep your own
writings in seperate folders (or even seperate disk) from the FFML
stuff you download. Otherwise, you're liable to ask dumb questions
like this one:

I found this fragment on a disk of mine, and I really don't think
it's mine... I don't recognize the style... but it looks interesting.
Can someone either claim it, and let me know what they've done with it
since then, or grant me permission to see what I can do with it? I
don't wanna step on toes or nothing, but I just don't know where this
came from...

Heh. So this is how Shinnosuke feels...

===========

The old man barely had scrubbed the moss into his grandson's back
when the boy stood up, scars gone, completely healed. "Akane! Where
is she?"

Shinnosuke's grandfather looked down at the ground, and pointed toward
the great spring. The yamada no orochi was just about to submerge.
Only an incongruous flash of navy blue gave any indication that
something was amiss. "She has given her life to save you,
Shin-chan..."

"No, old man! I can't let that happen!" And he charged for the spring.
He would rescue this girl if it was the last thing he ever did.

After all... she had risked her life to save him. He owed her that
much.

He had forgotten she had merely been repaying a debt she had owed him
for thirteen years.

"So... she loves him, eh?" Ryoga sat down next to his disconsolate
companion. A rueful smile creased his face. "Well... now you know
how I feel. And to think... all this time I vowed to crush your
happiness, and this kid manages in just a couple of days to do what
I've failed to accomplish after a year of trying.

"Whaddya gonna do now?"

Ranma raised his head from his hands to look at Ryoga. "I have no
idea, man. What do *you* do when this happens?"

The rueful smile widened ever so slightly. "What do you think, stupid?
I get lost."

Even Ranma had to smirk at that. "Not all that bad an idea."

Soun Tendo was getting distraught worrying about his daughter's safety
when the letter arrived.

"It's from Ryuganzawa, Father... from Akane..." The Tendo patriarch
tried to tear open the envelope, but his fingers trembled so that it
slipped from his hands and fell to the floor. His eldest bent down to
pick up the fallen envelope, and smiled gently at her father. "Shall
I...?"  Soun could only nod.

With one swift motion, Kasumi tore open the letter, and a calligraphed
card fell out. "Oh my... it's a wedding invitation."

Mr. Tendo could hardly believe his ears. "My daughter is finally
getting married!" The tears of apprehension were replaced by tears
of joy. He began to dance around the room.

Kasumi finished her father's statement as she read the invitation.
"...to Sakakibara Shinnosuke."

Soun facefaulted.

They breakfasted over a campfire at dawn. Ranma looked haggard and
worn out. Ryoga's face was clean and happy. "Y'know, you should get
some water from the stream nearby and wash your face, Ranma. You look
like hell."

"I *feel* like hell; you kidding? And how d'ya do that without turning
into a pig, anyway?"

Ryoga pulled out a pan from his knapsack and gently batted Ranma on the
head with it. "Simple. I use this pan as a dipper, and heat the water
over the fire. You don't think I'd've figured stuff like this out by
now?  Gimme some credit, doofus."

"Awright, awready. Man..." Ranma took the pan, and wandered off to
the spring. Not that it really mattered to him about the pan; after
all, he at least stayed human when he got wet.

==========

And that's it. Anybody recognize this? Or can I run with it?
(Assuming I can, that is...)

Itsu mo,
Ucchan   ^_^;;
