I'd just like to say that I've decided to
quit writing fanfics, and I'm unsubbing from
the list.  So long, and thanks for all the fics.

This seems very, very abrupt. In my experience, when someone says such a
thing so abruptly, they are momentarily pissed off or stressed out, and end
up coming back and saying 'I changed my mind'.

I rather hope this is the case, because it would be sad indeed to see a
long-standing member of the FFML suddenly up and leave, and post their
farewell in such an abrupt manner.
