So Ranma's got some
psychological damage -
Oh yeah. No big deal. ;)
that doesn't make Akane's spectacular fighting any
less significant. I thought it was handled superbly, and perfectly
demonstrated how this new, more mature Akane is still the same Akane we all
know and love. Sometimes, I think even the Hearts of Ice Akane has grown too
much, and become less Akane-like than is strictly necessary.
Well, I never. ;) Actually, in HoI-Akane's defense, the SC-Akane
hasn't spent five years fending for herself against demons, completely
isolated from other human beings. Now that HoI-Akane is back in the
mortal realm, however...
Mark's Akane
hits the bulls-eye, and it was GREAT to see her take the spotlight.
Now *that* I won't argue with. I've thoroughly enjoyed all of Mark's
Ranma 1/2 characterizations from the very first chapter of The Shadow
Chronicles, and this latest chapter was no exception. On top of that,
the sheer scope of that battle was just mind-blowing. A lesser writer
couldn't have pulled it off, but he did, and with such style too! ^_^
Ja,
Krista
(who's wishing she were as prolific as Mark at the moment...) ^_^
