Description: Suddenly, everything is happening to Ryoga as he gets a
girl curse, spawns multiple selves, acquires multiple selves, gets into
to stupid grudge fights with people looking to settle old grudges.
And crossovers. Lots and lots of crossovers.

Comments: You know, in theory having multiple selves ought to solve the
multiple engagement problem. Rather an abrupt change of tone at the
end, and a couple of other things have just sort of been sprung out of
nowhere. I've read worse, though.

Description: In this alternate universe Genma has become a wonderful
person and admirable mentor, with sound judgement and a better work
ethic, and he's lost weight and...

Comments: Kind of dull, really. There's no comedy, no action, the
characters aren't particularly dimensional. At least if Genma is
going to become this paragon of virtue he could get into some trouble
that way, by seeking out good deeds to do or something.

Description: As in the previous version, Leon is still dreaming about
the woman who changed his life. Only now he's waking up with another
person.

Comments: Very WAFFY. I'm not all that fond of WAFF, but as such
things go, not too bad, and the grotesque opening provides some balance.

Description: In this alternate universe Ranma has decided,
based on Genma's example, that masculinity is bad and has
dedicated himself to being the most charming, most polite,
most decent lesbian on Earth. All three Tendo sisters are
quite in love with her. Meanwhile, Ryoga shows up looking
for his best friend who always shared his bread at lunch.

Comments: I'm not really all that fond of perfect people,
but at least Ranma has a quirk. Still, the humour in this
series, based on sexual innuendo and sheer contrast with
the original storyline, rings true.

"Don't be silly, Ranma. I'm a martial artist too remember,"
Akane puffed.

"too, remember,"

Description: Asuka and Shinji, having been zapped into an alien desert,
walk and talk.

Comments: Incompletely formatted for e-mail. Characterisation isn't
bad, but one hopes the author moves along, now.

Description: Raye is madly in love with Tenchi after he "saves" her
from a monster. Conveniently, he turns out to be staying at her shrine
for a few days.

Comments: I tend to agree with the author that Raye might very well act
that way; however my interest in things as it stands is no better than
luke-warm since nothing much is at state and Tenchi probably doesn't
need the help of the "Scouts" to survive. Further, I think it's
less interesting if Tenchi comes in already knowing the SS ids.
Although Washu might be able to figure the SS ids, why would she bother
until it mattered?

On the technical end, "Raye" needs to be capitalised every time it is
used. The author gets a demerit for using N.A. names, something that
always bugs me more in a crossover with a series using Japanese names.

Description: Jubei meets a lady samurai and decides to accompany
her on her mission.

Comments: Tomoe knows too much. "Everbody" definitely knows too much
about Jubei. To know not just that he worked for the Shogunate, but
that he didn't work directly for them is far more than rumour could
have told her. If her knowledge was less accurate, and not generally
distributed, this would be more plausible. Still, this samurai romance
generally works, despite the tragic finish to the story.

On the technical end, I noticed some some spelling errors that should
be looked for

"Are you always this tense?" she asked with a soft laugh. She
deftly started massaging his neck and shoulers.

"shoulders"

Including a glossary was a very good idea, incidentally.

Description: Alternate universe replacing Akane Tendo with Ami from
Sailor Moon.

Comments: Ami is not different enough from Akane. I should say, this
Ami isn't different enough from Akane. She's just Akane with better
marks. If you were writing a Sailor Moon fic, and some lout cast
disparaging remarks on Sailor Mercury's cup size, would you have Mercury
punch him out or blast him? If you did, would those around her accept
her behavior as a normal product of her personality the way Kasumi and
Nabiki do? I assume she'll also be brawling with all the jocks in
school tomorrow, et cetera and so forth. Before Ami does anything that
Akane did, the author stop and consider whether the behavior is right
for the new character.
