I've got a question for those of you who know the Japanese Ranma. 
When Nodoka first shows up does Ranma know of his father's 
"Man among men" promise or does he need to be told. I don't want 
speculation, just pure canon. 

Replies OFF LIST please, let's not spoil this for those others who also 
don't know.
