I seemed to have missed a chapter of this somewhere. Last I was
reading, Akira had been interviewing Ranma about the effects of the
girl-curse. Made the opening a bit disconcerting (I though it was a dream
or something, at first.)
Anyhoo, still finding this one of the more enjoyable fic-series
being produced. You pull off the analysis of various aspects of Ranma's
curse without it seeming contrived, which is an accomplishment in itself;
keeping everyone IC as you do so is even more impressive.
One comment, though: up to where I had previously read, Akira had
turned out to be a surprisingly likable author-created character (which
doesn't happen too frequently in Ranma fics). With this chapter, though,
he seems to lose some of his charm: he becomes just another part of the
China gang. It makes sense, I suppose, what with him having hung around
Jusenkyo so much... but as an ordinary Joe, he just seemed more
interesting (well, to me, anyway.)
I'm not convinced Ranma would choose admitting he used to love
Ryoga over revealing the pig-curse; to admit such a failing in his
manliness, especially to the woman he loves, wouldn't be an option for him
-- I think. Of course, it's a subjective interpretation, and teh comedy
works _much_ better the way you've got it.
Anyway, really liking the story. Any chance I could snag the
chapter(s) I missed?
Later!
