Why not? Nabiki dosn't know everyhting.
Just because she may be a good extortionist/business woman does not mean
 she understands network systems.

I got the impression that Skuld messed up while debugging. An entirely
 plausible event.

Actually, this is a major concern, but not in the way that you two think.
Unless the connection into Ysadgril is right there at the ISP dialup Nabiki
and Ranma are using, its going to have to go through one or more routers to
get there, and that invalid IP would bounce, even if it is a YP address, wich
I will allow could have greater than a 255, because the ROUTERS know there
shouldnt be a number greater than 255.

I stated this later in my C&C. However, this was cut by
songoku@CrystalTokyo.com in his reply. This is one of the
reasons that I feel that Kami-sama had to be involved in this. Even
if Skuld made the connection to Yggdrasil someone had to bypass
Nabiki's ISP and connect her computer to the ggdrasil network.

No. Yggdrasil is Kami-sama's computer. One of Kami-sama's most
obvious attributes is access to everything. Yggdrasil already has
a connection to every computer, along with every other physical
object. That is how you can dial a number (nonexistent as far as
the phone company is concerned) and get Heaven. Now, to be sure,
Kami-sama may be manipulating events, but just like in OMG and real
life it is impossible to say whether It is or whether it isn't
controlling a given event because on Kami-sama's scale, the event is
either unimportant or somehow amusing in it's unexpected nature.
Kami-sama works in mysterious ways.

However there is no necessity for any lesser being to involved apart
from the obvious ones.

We'll just have to wait and see.
