Same thing it is with Rei/Usagi and Spock/Kirk. They're especially
close friends and thus natural candidates for slash.
So, when can we expect a Soun/Genma fic?
LOL.
Well, I am writing Soun's memoirs (sp?), so how about the following?
(Apologies for the formatting, or lack thereof.)
"
I considered the stolen goods idly, rubbing a soft, silky pair between my
fingers. There was that girl back in Tokyo (what was her name?); I wish I
had stolen something from her. And I don't mean panties.
Genma stumbled into the camp just then, covered with a thin, glistening
layer of sweat and breathing hard. His muscled had grown the past year; I
felt a twinge of jealousy at how his biceps strained against their
containing skin.
I was hardly weak myself -- could almost hold my own against the Sensei --
but Genma was so dedicated, so engulfed in the art...
"Tendo-san!" he said jovially, sitting next to me. "What's bugging you?"
I shook my head. Five years on the road now, five years of sleeping next to
him every night. Five years of hearing the Sensei's tales of depravity.
Yet I could not say it.
He must have sensed my hesitation. "Soun," he said, and I was surprised,
perhaps from the seriousness in his voice, or perhaps the familiarity with
which he addressed me. "Soun," he said, "what's wrong, my friend."
"I-" I tried. I looked into his eyes, fearful that he might see what lay
within my soul. "I lo-"
He looked into my eyes, and saw indeed my soul and my heart. But there was
no rejection from him, only understanding and...
A reflection.
Maybe he moved to me, maybe I moved to him. All I know for sure is that our
lips met as we drew together in a searing embrace. By the time we pulled
apart, gasping for air, I found myself hoping it wasn't all a dream.
"Genma," I whispered.
"Soun," he answered.
It was everything I could have asked for.
"
Apologies to Dreiser for the blatant plagarism... I'm just no good at the
mushy stuff ^_^;
