I don't know about you, but when I saw some of the fight scenes in
The Matrix, I was reminded of some of the things Ranma & Co. do on a
regular basis. Remember the sparring scene in the dojo? Close to the end
where Neo was moving so fast his hands were a blur, it kind of looked like
the Chestnut Fist. Not only that, but they can jump very high and far
too.

In the Anime and Manga, the characters can do superhuman things.
Most of the amazon techniques that I can think of can be classified that
way too. What I was thinking of is how those techniques came to be, and
how they really work. You can sort of tie in being able to project a
300 foot version of yourself, jumping insanely high, chi attacks, and
throwing punches so fast, that in reality your arms should burn up from
the heat generated by friction in the air, to manipulating the world
around you somehow. I've seen some stories explain it as channeling your
spiritual energies, but this would take a more scientific view of it.
Science Fictional view at least :)

I really don't know if someone just wrote a similar plotline to
the movie using aspects of the ranmaverse as well would make a good
story or not, but a character finding out that he or she could change
certain things, and do certain things just by thinking about it,
and then have a beleivable way to explain how they did it, could be
interesting. How and why their reality would be the way it is, whether it
be a computer generated one, or a real one with a few extra laws of
physics, would be up to the Author.

Maybe I might see something like this in a future story. Then
again, maybe not. I thought I would add my thoughts to the subject
though. On a side note, does anyone know if Zen is ever going to release
the third episode of "The Long and Winding Road?" That's one I want to
read.

"It involves a whole bunch of really neat martial arts. It
involves me never being cursed again. And it doesn't involve a
damned wedding! Got that?"

Ranma let the receiver drop. He glanced about the streets of
Nerima, then shrugged, and flew straight up, disappearing into
the clouds.

From the dangling receiver came a very confused "Growf?"

<insert face fault here>

ouch...... I acually expected a matrix spoof about a week ago, silly
me ^_^

While reading this a thought came to mind:

What if the way that the Matrix deals with J-curses is to combine two
people??? if this was the case, how would ranma deal with meeting
him/herself?? Love? Hate? confusion?????????????????????????????
