Uh, and why is Ranma so deserving of love and help, while Genma is not?
Presumably Genma had the same problems growing up that he has foisted on
Ranma.  Kasumi's trying to help Ranma avoid a heredeary problem, but Genma
just gets the blame for the same problem?!?

Let's see, he used the socially acceptable excuse of Martial Arts training
to beat his son, but also took him from his mother and any HOPE of normal
childhood and adolescent relationships, where I don't believe that there's
any reason to believe that Genma didn't have those same relationships.
Kinda guaranteeing that his son has a much harder time in life than he ever
did.
