Well, I would too, but to be fair, that fic (Deep Reflections by SKJAM)
isn't canon, and one could just as easily write one the other way.

	
	True on the non-canon bit (it mixes anime and manga continuity, 
and gives Kodachi a capability she doesn't demonstrate in either.)  And 
the story was rigged; even the most dedicated Akane-bashers would agree, 
I think, that after seeing three other girls get bad results with 
essentially the same request, she'd try a different one...Though they 
might feel that she'd say something like "take me to a future where I 
rule supreme over everyone!"
