Ranma's Father Plot Ideas
Second Story Arc:
School Awaits, Anarchy Debates
Leader:
Three weeks after the adventure in Japan, life is starting to become
normal for Ranma, or is it? Before he starts school, he discovers his parents
have signed him into a regular American school. As a girl. Losing the
argument, Helena Wayne starts school, and ends up with boys being infatuated
by the young woman.
Meanwhile, a person appears and he wants Anarchy to reign through the
schools halls. Introducing laughing gas into the schools ventalation system, the
first thought is that the Joker is on the loose. The police, thinking that someone
is after Wayne's little girl, take her home with a police escort, much to her
embarassment. Soon crimes are being commited using the styles of various
Gotham criminals, and information systems are crashing everywhere.
Who is this new criminal who wants to stop the city cold?
Plot Points:
Anarchy is a student in the school, and in fact is in one of Nabiki's
computer classes. He's been planing this for a long time, almost six months,
and the fact that Helena has just arrived at the school only adds to the
confusion and his fun. Unfortunately, it's cut short as the police keep order
within the school and stops the panic in a short while, labeling the incident as a
prank. He doesn't like this, so using his conections within the computer system,
he plans for the Gotham networks to crash.
Leading up to this, he finds that he needs money to bring his plan to
fruition, so he plans a set of crimes, but not normal crimes. Using the old
criminal records of how the major villians were caught, he duplicates what they
did, planning for the flaws. And he uses each tatic only once. After three
different crimes, he is ready to do what he has to, and also has a plan to stop
the Batman and his friends from interfering with his fun.
During this time, Batman decides that Helena needs to make an
appearance in the city as Batgirl in order for people not to connect Barbara to
that role. Katana follows them to the roof of the Police station where she
intoduces herself to Commisioner Gordon. His eyebrows raise when Batgirl
asks her mother what she is doing here, and why couldn't she let her and her
father handle it themselves.
Five locations in the city, which correspond to the points on the letter 'A'
have different sorts of disruptive, but somewhat harmless, devices based on
five of Batman's old villians. Fear gas, laughing gas, Birds galore, as well as
some others are going to have the four Gothamite heroes busy while the
networks crash. The police and ambulance services will be fouled by the
hacking he has done on their encoded systems. He will show everyone that
Anarchy reigns.
The boy, by the way, is crazy.
Nightwing, and Robin manage to capture the young Anarchy.
Third Story Arc:
Wedding Bells and Gas Shells
Leader:
Bruce Wayne is getting married and all of Gotham is in a tizzy!
When Bruce anounces his upcoming nuptuals, and that the cream of
Gothams finest will be there along with Clark Kent, his cousin Linda, Lois Lane,
and a few others, some of the Gotham ladies are not happy. The newspapers
are now looking for the new 'Most Elegible Bachelor in Gotham', and the woman
who had competed for Bruce wonder who this Nodoka Masaki is. Among those
that are not happy are Catwoman, Poisin Ivy, and Halequin.
They all have their plans, but what will happen, especially when Poisin
Ivy and Halequin decide to hold Nodoka and Helena as hostages for a lot of
cash.
Will Bruce and Nodoka finally get married, or will the wedding be put off?
Plot Points:
Nodoka and Bruce are getting married, and the girls are all having fun
planning it. All that is except for Helena who is bored out of her skull and seeks
out her brothers to do something. She already has to wear a dress and be her
mothers maid of honour, and is not happy about that role. She'd rather be the
best man but that role is going to Dick.
Meanwhile, Selina Kyle reads about the wedding and gets a little jelous.
Her relationship with Bruce didn't go anywhere after a while, and she had gone
back to being a criminal in order to fund her various charitable organizations
anonymously. Having stayed out of Gotham for the most part, Selina made
sure that none of her crimes were readily tracable to herself.
Bruce, in the meantime, has invited Clark and his family to attend the
wedding, as well as making arrangements for Master Masaki to visit Gotham
and give the bride away. He gets a call at the office from Selina, and speaks
quietly with her for a while. He then accepts an invitation to lunch.
Selina's plans are not exactly to disrupt the wedding, but to make sure
that Bruce wants to marry Nodoka. She makes a quiet play for Bruce once
more, and meets him as an old friend. If she can't have him, then she'll make
sure that what he's doing is right for himself. What she is planning to do is at
the last minute, ask if this is what Bruce really wants, and at the wedding.
However, that is disrupted when Bruce is informed of the kidnapping
during their lunch. Seeing the pain in his eyes, she decides that Nodoka is the
woman for him and when he leaves, does a little investigating on her own. She
runs into Batman who asks if she had anything to do with this.
Selina tells him no and that she is trying to help an old friend. Together,
they go to try to find the two Wayne women.
Nightwing and Robin are going after this from a different direction, but all
four seachers are too emotionally involved to keep a level head, looking at
every clue and possibility. Could it be that Japanese Ninja? How about the
Joker? The number of criminals is too long to count.
Helena is disgusted about being gassed, and that she and her mother
are captured by criminals. Using her strength, she frees herself while Nodoka
uses one of the blades she has hidden on herself to cut her bindings. They
escape, and Batman gets a call on where they are. Capturing the criminals is
easy after that.
At the wedding, Selina is there, ready to help, as is Bruce and the other
guests.
The wedding occurs without a hitch.
Forth Story Arc:
The Cardinal Criminal
Leader:
Has a new criminal arisen in Gotham, or is it a misguided vigilante?
While Batman and Katana are on their honeymoon, and Nightwing and
Batgirl are involved in a case in another city, no one is around to stop criminals
from being slaughtered in Gothams streets. Whoever the person or persons
responsible for this act are, they are not easily found, and the only clue at each
crime scene is a small Christian cross. Is this a sign of retribution?
Bullock assumes the person responsible is the new 'hero' who has
recently appeared. Dubbed (DarkStar) by the press because of his midnight
black costume and his rescuing some young women in he brightest part of the
city, he is making a name for himself. Is he responsible for these bloody
crimes?
Plot Points:
When Bruce and Nodoka take off for a long delayed honeymoon, the city
is left in the hands of the youngsters.
Since Barbara is feeling better, she has once again resumed the role of
Batgirl, and she and Nightwing head off to a nearby city in pursuit of a criminal
ring. This is both to take it easy for a while while she builds her leg strength
back up as well as to ease her into crime fighting once more. An easy job such
as this will not tax her resources.
Meanwhile, Alfred has helped Ranma design his own evening wear. A
virtually pitch black suit that is without an insignia of any type. The new suit is a
marvel of technology, with the cloth having been donated by Superman from a
suply of Kryptonian science materials. He is very excited about trying the suit
on, and he and Robin take off to have some fun in the city.
While there, he rescues a couple of young women who were in the way
of a car that was swerving out of control. Nothing really all that heroic about it
except that it was caught on film by a tourist. Soon the press is proclaiming a
new hero having been added to those on the city's roster.
Unfortunately, a new crime wave has broken out.
The same night that the newly named (DarkStar) has appeared, some
criminals were viciously murdered, and a small Christian cross has been left
with them.
Soon, a similar set of crimes is occuring, and when Commisioner Gordon
lights up the bat signal, the only ones who arrive is Robin and (DarkStar).
After tracking the criminal to where he is staying, Ranma takes him on
and ends up on television once more. During that live broadcast, he uses the
Katsu Tenshin Amaguriken to try and take down the criminal. Soon, (DarkStar)
has brought the criminal in and escapes before Bullock can try and bring him in
for questioning.
Fifth Story Arc:
Panties Panties Everywhere, But Where is One to Spare?

Panda Chime, Panda Time, Panda Crime
Leader:
Gotham city is facing a new crime spree where there are no demands,
nothing stolen, but people who are affected and in some pain as they become a
new breed of were humans.
A new villian, who is unseen has entered the city and is playing very
nastily. His seeming job, turn everyone into a panda bear. What are his
motives? Does he want something? Has he stolen the formula and research
that created ManBat or has the scientist who created the ManCat race
survived? Batman and Katana aim to find out.
Plot points:
Opens with a group of Gotham teenagers hearing some sort of chime
and becoming pandas. Panic breaks out and the zoo is called in. Unable to
communicate, the five teens end up in the zoo until they can find out who
brought an endangered species into the country. Within a week, another set of
Pandas are found, and this time, one tries to communicate. When this is
discovered, Batman and Katana are called in to find out what is going on.
Testing with hot water fails to make them human, so they dismiss the
possibility of Jusenkyu. In all cases, the victim has heard a chime then became
a panda. A new gang emerges as they have the ability to become pandas and
reverse the transfomation. Blood tests reveal no sign of the old formulas but is
something new happening?
Nabiki, having heard this, checks and finds out that Genma was broken
out when a group of Animal Activists released all the exotic animals. He was
never recaptured. This information is anonymously e-mailed to Helena Wayne
through her school account, and she begins to wonder if Genma is behind this.
Talking with Dick later on in the evening, they decide to handle this themselves.
While Batman and Katana are looking into the chemical and genetic
possibilities, Nightwing and (DarkStar) head out to try and find the criminal or
criminals. In their investigation of the incidents that have occured, they discover
that there have been some crimes taking place. Tracing it to a gang, they
recover pieces of a mystic chime that allows the change, after taking care of the
crooks.
During this time, a crime occurs at Wayne Enterprises, where many
people within the building are all turned into pandas. Many high technology
items are stolen, and the crime wave ceases.
A new criminal matermind has entered Gotham and is keeping himself
untracable.
Character profiles:
Batman:
Real Name: Bruce Wayne
Alias: Matches Malone, Tsukino Ran, numerous others
Background:
Bruce Wayne lost his parents when he was ten and wanted revenge.
Starting to train himself in all areas of criminal investigation, he became
pathologically unable to deal with real life. Alfred, noticing this, decided that it
was time that young Bruce was sent where he could learn properly, and
arranged for him to leave for Tokyo when he was twelve, making sure that if a
trail was followed, it would lead to several schools in Europe. There Bruce
discovered that he was taking on the identity of Tsukino Ran, a young half
Japanese boy who was being apprenticed to Master Masaki, a well known
martial arts instructor.
As Ran, he became one of the best young martial artists the dojo had
ever produced, living there with the Masaki's. In his spare time, he spent going
to the schools labs, reading books on investigative techniques, and perfecting
many forensic skills. At other times, he went and visited with various scientist
and learned how to build, miniturize, and look for answers with technologies
already available. His entire pursuit while there was towards becoming the best
detective he could be.
Unfortunately, he neglected to take psychology.
As for a social life, if it hadn't been for Nodoka, who had taken an interest
in him, he would never have had a life outside of this.
In having enough fights, due to his 'half-breed' status, Ran started to
wear clothing that allowed him full movement. Usually loose black pants and
sports tops and pull overs. He also started to learn how to hide small items on
himself, such as fishing line, and small flare and smoke bombs which he hid in
pokets he placed into his belt. Unfortunately, the first few times he did this, they
blew up in the belt, and he redesigned it so that it would be harder to damage
his materials. This new belt he began to hide under his shirts and pullovers.
During his seventeenth year, he made an enemy out of one of the older
students at the dojo who knew who he really was, and was jelous, both of his
ability and the fact that he had money. Bruce stopped him from stealing a
priceless set of swords that could be sold on the underground market for
millions, since many true, old swords had been destroyed when Japan was first
taken over by the Americans. This man became a Ninja after being forced
away from the dojo.
In the last week Ran spent there he discovered that Nodoka wanted to
marry him, which he had no idea of before.
In China, he discovered the tribe of Chinese Amazons, and stayed there
for six months learning from Mistress Cologne. He learned of the fighting codes
of the Amazons, but was exempted from it when Cologne learned of his private
passion. Bruce, in turn promised to do what he could to provide a measure of
freedom and economic resources when he came into his inheritence.
After learning some techniques from yet another person, he went back to
Japan to find Nodoka and propose to her. Unfortunately, when he came back,
he discovered that she was married to Genma, a person who he didn't trust. He
left back for China and learned some more techniques.
After two more years, he went to Gotham and Alfred signed over all the
documents to ensure that Bruce had what he needed to continue. Bruce,
however, did not want him to leave, and since Alfred did not want to be a
bother, and have young Bruce be his own man, refused to be on the Board of
Wayne Enterprises. Proposing a seperate idea, which Bruce accepted, Alfred
became the Wayne butler, and started to set up the cave underneath the house
according to the plans that Bruce had developed.
In the following year, Bruce had to go to Japan to attend an economic
conference, and ran into Nodoka once more. Neither knew of the Joker being
in the country, and they ended up losing their inhibitions due to the drug that the
Joker used. During that time, they made love. The next day Batman appeared,
and provided an antidote to the others that were affected in other ways.
Batman captured the Joker who left on an American Forces flight to be held in
Arkham Asylym in Gotham City.
Katana:
Real Name: Nodoka Masaki Wayne
Alias: None known at this time
Background:
Nodoka is the only child of Master Masaki, a close friend of Alfred
Pennyworth who spent some time in Japan as an intelligence attache to the
British Embassy. She started learning the art from the time she could walk, and
specialized in the Katana in addition to open handed combat. During that time,
her mother died, and she began to wonder if there was something other than
martial arts to life.
When she was twelve, she met Tsukino Ran, a young man who was sent
there by her godfather to learn various martial arts. For a while, his enthusiasm
put her off as he was always in the dojo practicing when she wanted to use it
alone. Finally, she agreed to start teaching Ran, and they began a fond
friendship which turned to love on her part by the time she was fourteen. From
then on, she was always looking for a way to get Bruce to propose to her, or to
notice her.
Draging Ran away from the dojo and from school whenever she could,
Nodoka became known as his girlfriend, something which other young men who
were interested in her did not take kindly to. Being a decendant of the Nobility,
she was sought after in marriage proposals from these young men, who upon
being told that her relationship with Ran was inviolate, began to get jelous. This
ended with Ran being forced to come up with ways to defend himself from
these varied suitors.
All Nodoka could see was that he was romanticly defending her honour,
instead of placing him in the situation of being attacked.
Having discovered that he made a weapons belt, Nodoka looked for
ways to put her own favourite weapon on her person. Becoming quite adept at
being a seemstress, she hid bokkens within her skirt in unnoticible ways. Later,
she found ways to hide her bokkens in most of her clothes.
When she was seventeen, she was getting desperate and tried
everything she could to get Ran to propose. When that didn't work, she
proposed herself only to for him to turn her down. Disgusted with Ran when he
refused to marry her, she accepted the first proposal that came her way and
ended up married to Genma.
After the incident at the party, she designed a costume in one night and
became Katana, mistress of the sword, only too late to attend to the Joker
herself. However, one of the Ministers, who happened to have the ear of the
Emperor, noticed her investigating, and asked what she was doing. Assuming
that she was working with the Batman, he offered her a job in government
sevice in such a way so that she would not be known for who she was. She
accepted, and within the month became one of the best government operatives
in the Tokyo area. Taking time off to have her baby, she settled down for a
while, occasionally taking the odd job here and there.
When Genma took Ranma away, she went back to government sevice
almost full time, and has become a multi-millionaire in her own rights. On many
occassions, she has taken care of obnoxious eliments in Japanese society,
including Ninjas and Yakusa. Officially, she looks after all of the Masaki estates
and investments, although her father knows what she really does.
(DarkStar): (tentative name)
Real Name: Ranma Wayne
Alias: Tendo Ranko, Helena Wayne, Batgirl, numerous others
Background:
Ranma was brought up by Saotome Genma to be a martial artist, risking
his life in pursuit of this goal. Among the techniques he has learned are the
Neko-ken, which has left him with an extreme phobia of cats and the Katsu
Tenshin Amaguriken for the Matriarch Cologne. He also picked up a curse
where he can change to female form with cold water.
Arriving in Tokyo during the fall of his sixteenth year, Ranma has had a
harrowing time ducking suitors and enemies, and has felt himself out of place in
the world. No matter what, he had to uphold honour when his father would
have put it off. He has been so lonely for friendship, he even considers his
enemies his friends.
In this universe, Nodoka visited him earlier than in the original work, and
he adopted the identity of Tendo Ranko, by which name the Kuno's know her
female form. It was the name she used when facing off againsts Kodachi in
competition. Nodoka was influential in teaching both Akane and Ranko how to
do Martial Rythmic Gymnastics for the competition.
In an attempt to find a cure for his curse, Ranma went on a date with
Tatewaki and ended up with a wishing sword. Use of that sword revealed who
his real father was, and he started to wonder what would happen. Because of
this, all the engagements were disolved.
During a short adventure in Japan, he discovered who the Batman was,
as well as his mothers identity. Being told to stay behind, he was disgruntled,
but realized he did not have an identity to hide behind. That is until Tim stated
that he could borrow Barbara's costume and be Batgirl for the one adventure.
It is discovered that Ranma speaks very good English, and has been
hiding that fact from others by pretending to be ignorant.
After arriving in Gotham, Nodoka insisted that Ranma use a new identity,
since there was more cold water around than hot, and thus it would be easier to
hide. Something that Ranma argued against until Nodoka brought up his
promise. She also pointed out that in this family, the ability to hide was to his
advantage.
In Gotham, she does not have people after her to forcibly date her or try
to persue her and is able to live a relatively normal life. Even her old friends,
Ukyou Kuonji, Shan Pu, and Nabiki Tendo are trying to make sure that she
stays that way. Ukyou is the only male among these girls although everyone at
school thinks that he and Shan are more than friends since they run a
restaurant together.
Until Barbara's leg is better, Ranma keeps on being Batgirl, and when
Katana follows her family to the roof of the police station, accidentally asks why
her mom is there.
In his new evening identity, (DarkStar), he is a mysterious figure who
appears and disappears, usually saving girls in distress, or taking down
criminals. (DarkStar)'s uniform is made from a material that Superman provided
Batman, and has a few interesting abilities, such as being able to breath, but
repel water.
(DarkStar) is a mysterious, closed-mouthed young man who many young
girls are fond of. When he uses the Katsu Tenshin Amaguriken on television,
his old suitors know who he is. In this way, he is responsible for two new super
heroines ariving in Gotham.
China Doll:
Real Name: Shan Pu
Alias: Shampoo
Background:
Shan Pu was brought up to be a warrior supreme in her society, where
men are considered the weaker sex.
Trained since she could walk, she was defeated by Ranma during a
tournament, and insisted on giving the Kiss of Death. A move that was not
necessary, but done on the spur of the moment. With the guide tearing her
away, Ranma started running, not knowing that a formal challenge on the
challenge grounds when both parties were rested would have solved everything
without futher consequences. This being the case, the Amazon nation took that
as being the girl was afraid, and not worthy of the prize she would have held by
winning, a member of the Amazon nation wheather or not she stayed in the
villiage.
After learning the truth about Ranma, she went back and faced trial by
combat from her great grandmother, and became cursed to turn into a cat with
cold water.
Arriving back in Japan, she began her pursuit of Ranma, originally to see
someplace other than the small villiage that she knew. Within a month, she
became deeply in love with Ranma because of what he stood for. Even in her
villiage, the old tales of strong, virtuous men were told, and of the glories that
being with such a person could bring.
After the revelations, she went to Ukyou and the two of them decided to
get together and start their own restaurant in America. For her, it was a way to
see Ranma again, perhaps starting over as friends, without the imperitive of her
great grandmother, and also to escape going back to the villiage which she now
found to be boring. Besides, it was also a way to get rid of Mousse.
After they took time to set up their restaurant and home, as well as
register for the local school, they wandered around, meeting with Nabiki who
had also arrived, tentatively to go to school to prepare for a future job with
Wayne Enterprises. After that, they began to look at all of the places around
the city and got to know the people and area. Shan's English, which is much
better than her Japanese, worked in their favour in this instance, and Nabiki
helped with setting up the contracts so that they could supply their restuarant at
a low cost.
That was when she discovered American Television, and Xena, Warrior
Princess. Already a fan of such shows as Sailor Moon, and various live action
Sentai series, she really enjoyed these shows of Ancient Grece from which her
ancestors were from. They were, in her opinion, much better written and had
an intriguing style. She also really enjoyed that metal discuss, the Chakram,
that Xena had and used.
During one incident where the new hero (DarkStar) used the Katsu
Tenshin Amaguriken on television, she realized who it was and started to think.
Designing a costume similar to Xena's, but closely based on her own fighting
outfit, she went out as the heroine China Doll. As China Doll, her primary
weapons are a set of small discuss with blunt ends that she can use to stun her
opponents, and has also included certain gas and other items to her arsenal.
One of the alternate items she uses is a bow and arrow set, with the arrows
having tips from ancient warrior days.
Unfortunately, she was first restricted to a small area of town where the
roofs were low since she did not have anything with which to get by on high
buildings. That is until her grandmother, visiting for a while, gave her and
Ukyou some special equipment which enables them to have grapling hooks of a
type. Since then, both she and the White Ninja have expanded their patrol area
with Nabiki handling quite a bit of their support.
White Ninja:
Real Name: Ukyou Kuonji
Alias: None known at this time
Background:
As a child in Kyoto, Ukyou lost her mother at an early age and ended up
with her father, who ran an okonomiyaki cart, most of the time.
Trained in her fathers style of martial arts, a type of Ninjutsu that he
adpated spatula to for her sake, she is able to walk without making a sound.
Her usual wear were soft, skin tight pants, a gi top, and soft tabi for her feet. On
her back, she had a large spatula which served to substitute for training with a
ninjato, the short sword of the Ninja.
At the age of six, she met and was constantly defeated by a young boy
named Ranma and she was getting to know him quite well. In the end, they
became good friends, so much so that she wanted to marry him. Her father
tried to make an arrangement with Genma which failed, and she turned her
back on being a girl, deciding that being a boy would make her life easier.
Ukyou then devoted his life to his martial arts and to the art of
Okonomiyaki, it being a good cover.
Coming up with variations of the Ninja arts based upon cooking materials
and equipment, he became one of the best of the 'New Type' martial artists,
who used the 'modern' materials to hide what their training was from most
western eyes. Ukyou became a master of the art, including the ability to
conceal himself in several ways, and that led to a lot of young girls coming after
him when he started puberty. Unfortunately, at an all boys school, he had some
trouble and a young man discovered what his sex actually was. Already
infatuated with Ukyou, but not knowing why before this, he decided to become
the female in their relationship.
After getting out of there and finding Ranma, he discovered not
everything was what it seemed, and with a few words, thought that she could
take Ranma away from the dishonourable father that he was stuck with.
She still kept the male identity, however, not willing to change it at this
point in time.
When the revelations about Ranma's true past were revealed, she also
discovered that her true father was Genma, something that she is trying to deny
to herself. Being a nice person, she decided to get together with Shan when it
seemed her grandmother would not allow the pursuit of Ranma any further.
With the money she got from selling her restaurant to a woman called Oracle,
she left for the states with Shan to start a new restaurant.
It has since become very popular, especially with Sargent Bullock who
has a standing discount when he eats there. Concerned it was a bribe of some
kind, Ukyou said that it was more along the lines of he ate a lot of food, so they
could afford to treat such a good customer well. He also talks about his work
from time to time and his respectful hatred of Batman and the other vigilantes in
the city.
After Shan saw Ranma on television, and showed the scene to her, she
wanted to get in on the action. Unfortunately, if she used the equipment that
she had, it would be noticed immediately, especially by Bullock. As she was
known as a boy to everyone in the states, she decided to become a female
Ninja, using the skills that she had learned when she was a child. In order to
distinguish herself, she decided on using the white Winter costume at first, but
has since adopted the black costume most of the time. The name given to her
costumed identity, the White Ninja, has stuck however.
Being trained in various arts by Shan's great grandmother, Ukyou has
been growing in skill, to the point where she has been accepted as a member of
the Amazon nation. A large part of her lessons have been in language skills,
such as Chinese and Engligh with a little Greek thrown in. The fightng she is
able to pick up once she started to practice once more.
Nabiki, Shan, and herself are constant guests over at Wayne Manor, as
friends of the young heiress, Helena Wayne. In this way, she gained access,
once she accidentally discovered the entrance, to the batcave, along with
several other exits afterwards. The White Ninja has since come and gone
quietly from the cave, and uses some of the equipment and chemicals there to
make the weapons that she and China Doll need. That is until (DarkStar)
discovered her and China Doll there. Explaining that to Batman and what she
was doing took some time.
Alfred Pennyworth:
Real Name: Alfred Pennyworth
Alias: Several dozen
Background:
Alfred grew up after the second War to End All Wars and attended
Oxford at a young age. Sponsored by some friends of the governement, Oracle
and Delphi, he soon joined British Intelligence and distinguished himself both as
a field agent and in the new field of computers. Travelling the world, he came
into contact with several important people, and became one of the designers for
the British Missile Defense and Offence system.
Sent to Japan on the advice of Oracle, he met Master Masaki, one of the
few Martial Artist left after the war, and became the godfather to his child,
Nodoka. While there, he came across the ways of several new criminal
organizations that were trying to gain a foothold in the country and managed to
help to contain them for a time. He was also instrumental in helping the
government against the incursions of the Japanese Red Army and their terroist
activities. Soon after, he retired from the service temporariliy and left for the
States in order to meet with the Wayne family with whom he was introduced to
by Oracle almost ten years previously. Helping to set up Wayne Enterprises, he
also created several 'black' division in the company with the approval of
Thomas Wayne, who was concerned that terorist could also strike at America.
After the Waynes were gunned down in the street, he decided to stay
and take care of Bruce, becoming like a father to him. When he realized what
Bruce needed, he sent the young man to Japan to learn what he needed. In the
meantime, he had the black operations groups do work for British Intelligence
and materials seemingly disappeared from time to time to the cave underneath
Wayne Manor.
After getting involved in a case with Oracle and Delphi, and discovering
their abilities and powers, he followed their advice in making several unmarked
additions to the city, one of which is the area where all of the vehicles that
Batman, Batgirl, Nightwing, and Robin use are made. He also started to
prepare the underground cave as a secret lair for Bruce's return.
Returning to the British Intelligence Service, renamed the British Secret
Service, for a while, he made additional contacts with various weapons
intermediaries under the 'assistance agreements' to several friendly nations.
These people know Alfred under different names, and know that he is
connected to the British Government, being brought in on occasion as an
observer.
When Bruce came back, Alfred wanted to retire, and so signed
everything over to the young man, including the presidency of the company.
Bruce, needing Alfred, didn't want him to leave, and so offered him a seat on
the Board of Directors. Alfred counter offered that it would be best that he serve
as a Gentleman's gentleman and keep up the appearance of an upper crust
household while attending to the needed material gathering and upkeep of the
vehicles and other black activities.
He tries to keep to the background, but he is well able to fight, and is an
expert with several different types of firearms. It is his skills in information
gathering and profiling which allow Batman and the others to do their necessary
field work. While retired for the most part, he has taken action at times flying
the planes, using hand grenades and other weaponry, and fending off
saboteurs. Although he does not claim this, he is directly responsible for the
existance of Batman, Robin, and the new Robin by making 'suggestions' and
then leaving them alone. His file is still highly classified by the British
Government.
Nabiki Tendo

Background:
Nabiki, the second daughter of Soun Tendo, is a very smart and practical
young woman, who see's oportunities for business in virtually every one of her
endeavors.
Having lost her mother at an early age, Nabiki was old enough to realize
that her father was not in the best condition to take care of them. WIth her older
sister taking care of the household, it eventually fell to her to take care of the
financial side of the equation and leave the possibility of being heir to the dojo to
her younger sister who was not as burdened with reality. Using the resources
available to her at the school, as well as getting advice from several teachers,
she came up with a survivable economic plan while looking for future ventures.
By the time Nabiki was twelve, she had succeeded in putting together a
successful drink dispenser business throughout the local schools. Although the
take was small, due to compitition, she did manage to get enough to make a
few small investments in the market. She eventually decided to suppliment her
income with semi-leagal betting activities given the unusual nature of one of her
peers, Tatewaki Kuno. Given that activities by the Kuno family were usually
overlooked due to the amount of money and the past connections that they had,
such activities were passed over by the consevative elements of the local
police. Soon Nabiki had enough to invest in a small video arcade using the
token betting method. Keeping a rotating number of machines, she was
successful at this due to the fact that she knew what the kids wanted.
By the time of the revelations, Nabiki had saved up enough to get
through a Japanese university course as well as make sure the family was
taken care of, even with the constant damage that Ranma caused to the
property.
When she dicovered who Ranma actually was, and afraid that her sisters
would not want him, she decided to go after him herself. Although she believes
that she is going after Ranma because of the money involved, Nabiki has yet to
admit that she loves and admires him. Part of this is due to the fact that she
always saw Ranma as Akane's, and part is due to the fact that she does not
want to admit who she is even to herself.
Upon arriving in Gotham, and getting her new residence ready, she has
set up an account for stock trading using the internet as well as using her
contacts for selling items and objects through a web page and online auctions.
She has also registered with the same school that Helena Wayne will be going
to, having already checked into this. In doing so, she has signed herself up for
several classes that put her in contact with Helena, the object of her desire.
After realizing who (DarkStar) is, and easily recognizing China Doll, she
becomes the background supplier and helper for both China Doll and the White
Ninja. Although they do not know who their mysterious benefactor is, the two
heroines are grateful for the help, no matter how little it might be. From Nabiki's
point of view, if she keeps the two dunderheads busy, she has a better chance
at Ranma.
Keeping to herself for the most part, and studying for a future position
with Wayne Enterprises, Nabiki also takes time out to socialize with Helena and
make sure that she enjoys herself. Suspicians about her motives are fast and
furious, but as Nabiki is not doing anything obvious, Ukyou, Shan, and Helena
have nothing to go by, and usually end up as part of one of her "Girls night out"
evenings. This fits in well with her own plans as she's decided the subtle
method of showing Ranma an ordinary life may be the winning method for
marriage.
She has still hedged the bet by telling Bruce that she does want to go
through with the marriage to retain family honour.
