Yet another idea popped into my head whilst working on the previous 
idea.... but I need some info first, if anyone would be so kind.

Several times throughout the show, there are mentions made of "mental 
contamination" and such. Is it ever said anywhere (or would anyone care 
to speculate) exactly what kind of "contamination" they're talking 
about? Brain damage? Memory loss? Neuroses (well, more neuroses than 
they already have, that is)?

Unless you think the answer would benefit the FFML community as a 
whole, answers should probably be by private e-mail.
