When you're running a dual boot system, Norton gets mad. And when Norton
gets mad, FANFICS DIE!!!

Specifically, I've lost most of my story ideas, some spamfics that I had
ready, but didn't release for various reasons, some work I had on an
Iczer-Ranma crossover, the beginnings of an outline for a Nuku
Nuku-Terminator fusion, and half of that miscast Starwars thing that I'd
started last year. The majority of my net access has been curtailed(I'm
mailing from the library). Basically, my fanfic reading, writing, and C&C
is put on hold. I can access the net from the library, but it's going to
be slow and infrequent.

What happened was that only last month, I had Linux also put on my Win95
system, and ran LILO to choose which OS I'd run. Unfortunately, I decided
to try the Trialware version of Norton Anti-Virus, since Case was supposed
to have some virii going around.

Sadly, Norton decided that my Linx partitions were 'boot record'
modifications and moved to 'Repair' the problem. FDISK /mbr doesn't help.
So now, my 800MB partition has shrunk to around 500MB, and I have two
files, called (funny ASCII characters) and (funny ASCII characters).

Needless to say, e-mail's going to be a problem.

If anyone has some ideas on how to fix this(though I think it's dead for
good), or you have some preread work, or stuff, please mail it to
jliao@princeton.edu I can't guarentee that I'll get to it in a timely
fashion, but I'll try to address it whenever possible.

-Natsume Ranma Ranma
-------
The sardines weren't worth the trouble. A few more shots, then
Ryoga-san would overheat and explode. Ducking around a corner,
I managed to lose him as I entered the ramshackle residence of
my Anime supplier.

One look at his face and I knew that I was betrayed. "Tell me."
I insisted. He refused, so I slammed him against the wall.
"Last chance. Where can Ranma-Ranma find good fanfics?"
"Try Jason Liao." he whispered, before he slumped to the floor.
I heard the sounds of a door splintering as I left through the
window, one step ahead of Tendo Heavy Industries...
