I'd say delete the stuff about the "high crimes".  It's irrelevant, 
given that Akane has committed none of the crimes mentioned.  That means 
of course that what Cologne is doing doesn't qualify as justice, merely 
convenience.  At most, just have her say, "The technique is based on the 
harshest punishment in Amazon lore," and go straight into her 
reminiscence of the only time she'd used it before.  Cut the fat.
