Yes, there's quite a few alternaverse stories out there... and yes, quite a
few do look at if Ranma was really a girl... but then they usualy do stuff
like have her fall into SoD man... or Akane is a guy...
Not the case here.
I won't say what it is that I have that tries to make this stand out in the
sea of alternaverses, you'll just have to read the teaser to find out for
yourself...

			A Little Different...
			Part 1: Here's Lonko

	It was a rainy day, the streets were pretty bare except for a few
people with their umbrellas shopping in the downtown area. Down one street a
young red haired girl in a white and grey kung-fuu gi comes running, with
something big chasing her. It takes a few swipes with its claws only to miss
as the girl ducks under and leaps over them. As the rain starts to let up,
the big creature is seen to be a panda holding a large back pack. The panda
attacks the girl again with its one free hand, only for it to be caught by the
girl and flipped over her shoulder. She then picked up the back pack and
continued on. Unknown to her the panda got back up and swiped at her, this
mearly caused her to skid forwards through a rain puddle.
	"Forget it old man! I'm going back home and you can't stop me!" She
shouted at it and drop kicked it in the head, but the panda got back up once
again. "And as for arranging my ENGAGEMENT..." She was caught short as the
panda whacked her over the head with a street sign it broke when it was drop
kicked. It put the sign down on the ground, picked the girl up, slung her
over its shoulder, and picked up the backpack in its other hand.
	"It's a... It's a panda!" exclaimed one person in the crowd that
gathered back when the girl slid into the streets.
	"Oh my god, it has a girl!"
	The panda just cooly looked at the small crowd and growled, the people
quickly backed off and let the panda go its own way.

			* * * * * *

	"Hmm... A letter? From my old freind Saotome!" Shiryou Gosunkugi
smiled as he read the post card from his old friend from his anything goes
martial arts training days, sent to him from China. One line gave him the
most joy. It said that it was time to honor the engagement agreement.
"Toorima! Hikaru! Akiinu! Come here! I have an annoucement!" he called out.
A beautiful girl with long brown hair, and a young man with short brown hair
with a pair of candles strapped to his head came into the dining room.
	"Yes father?" The young man, Hikaru, asked.
	"I have something very important to tell you and Aki- Erm, where's
Akiinu?" Shiryuu asked as he noticed his youngest son wasn't there.
	"He's probably still training in the dojo, I'll get him." the girl,
Toorima, said and got up to find her other brother.

			* * * * * *

	Inside the dojo, a well built yound man dressed fully in his school
uniform was standing over a cement block proped up on two other blocks, his
fist clenched except for two of his fingers, he breaths in, and with a quick
motion, he drives the two fingers into the block, it splits in two as his
hand passes through like a hot knife in butter. As he slowly raises his hand
back up and takes a brief smile at the efficent work he did, the sound of a
light clapping is heard. He turns around to see Toorima clasping her hands
together and smirking at him.
	"No wonder you can't get a girlfriend Akiinu, all this training must
make you smell all sweaty." she said as she walked over to him.
	"Hey! I have so had a girlfriend!" Akiinu gave her a nasty look as he
took off his headband.
	"The daughter of that travelling okanomoyaki cook doesn't count."
Toorima smirked again and flicked him right on the nose, Akiinu casualy wiped
it to make it look like he had an itch rather than admiting that it hurt a
little. "Dad sent me to get you, there's something important he wants to say."
	"I'm coming..."

			* * * * * *

	The two sons stared wide eyed as they absorbed what their father just
said. "You what?" Toorima although, she didn't fully get it.
	"I aranged with my old training partener Genma, that we would each
have one of our children marry. And now that his daughter Lonko is coming,
it's time to honor the deal." Shiryou smiled pleasently as he explained it
all.
	"You... You go off and engage one of us to a girl we've never met!?"
Akiinu shouted as he shot up from where he was sitting. "How could you!? She
could be... Kawaiikune!" he then shuddered as the image of some fat and
ugly girl being his future bride.
	"Now then, I said that one of you two would be her fiancee. So don't
go jumping on me just yet." Shiryuu retracted.
	"So who'll it be?" Akiinu slumped back down and glared at his father.
	"Well I guess it's up to-" Mr Gosunkugi was cut short as the sound of
the door opening was heard.
	"Sounds like they're already here." Toorima said and hurried up to
greet their quests.
	"Saotome, my old friend!" Shiryou called out as he followed her.
Akiinu and Hikaru slowly got up to meet their possible fiancee.
	"Well... Maybe... She'll be pretty..." Hikaru silently said to no one
in paticular. But Akiinu still answered him.
	"Give me ONE example of a arranged marrage that's a good match!"
Hikaru could only look blankly at his younger brother as the he never met a
couple that were from an arranged marrage.
	All of a sudden Their father and sister came running back and a large
panda carrying a complaining girl was behind them. Hikaru gasped and quickly
hid behind his father, while Akiinu and Toorima stared defiantly at the panda
as it put down its cargo.
	"Great one pop! Now you scared them!" The girl shouted.
	"Are these... The Saotomes?" Toorima asked. Shiryou just shaked his
head.
	"So your friend isn't a big panda?" Akiinu sacastically asked and
slowly drew his attention to the red haired girl. Once Shiryou realized that
the panda isn't dangerous, he slowly aproached the girl.
	"I'm Lonko Saotome... I can't believe this." She said and rolled her
eyes.
