Who are the "them" you are referring to?

Ranma and Nuku-Nuku, of course. Who else whould aoutomatically go
after Akane and Ryunosuke?

Akiko would most certainly send all her forces after Ryunosuke. Heck,
she sent combat jets and giant mecha when his *father* 'kidnapped' him -
how do you think she'd respond if a voracious alien swarm got hold of
him? Hopefully Mishima doesn't have nuclear weapons...

How are Akane and Ryunosuke
freed?
The Zerg destroy all that lay in their path, it is highly unlikely
that
they will take prisoners, let alone allow them to survive long enough
for a
rescue attempt.

What about Sarah Kerrigan? The Zerg wanted to assimilate part of
humanity for it's psychic potential, and use it against the Protoss.
Maybe the two were caught in an initial raid for test subjects. Or,
if the Swarm is led by the Overmind, perhaps it sees something in
Akane and/or Ryunosuke he wants to assimilate. What happens if he
turns them into Kerrigan-like beings? Could their loved ones keep
them from becoming, as Kerrigan once called herself, 'Queen Bitch of
the universe?'(And King Bastard, or is it Prince Son-of-a-Bitch?^_^)
If Kerrigan leads the Swarm, she may actually be going after Ranma and
Nuku-Nuku, and wants to use Akane and Ryunosuke as leverage.

As I recall, the Overmind was drawn to Kerrigan specifically because of
her psychic talents. Akane *might* be captured, though just about every
other Ranma character would be a better specimen, and Ryunosuke's just a
kid. I agree - there has to be a solid reason why the Swarm would be
interested in those two, other than target practice.

How about Nuku Nuku? Is she going to be a sideline character? She's a
useful character in her own right (as well as the star of 1/3 of this
crossover). If Ranma is forced to watch as others are slain, he'd
probably
slip into a deep depression and who better to raise him out of it
than
Nuku? There is a possibility that love could develop between those
two and
this could be the driving force in this story.

Now who's talking about OOC-ness? Do we _have_ to hook up the main
characters in half of the crossovers? Nuku just doen't seem like
Ranma's type anyway. Neko-Ranma might like her, however.

In my opinion, Nuku Nuku just doesn't comprehend romantic love. Though
she's swarmed constantly by would-be suitors, the whole proceedings seem
to be rather puzzling to her. The only time we've seen her act the
slightest bit 'lovesick' is when she saw that other cat, just before her
bike accident. She *might*, therefore, be interested in Neko-Ranma,
though I kinda doubt it. Her cat-brain doesn't appear to register
humans as potential mates.
(While we're on the subject, check out the Ranma/Nuku Nuku fanfic on my
webpage (http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Dojo/8492). End plug mode.)

Imagine Ranma
admitting to
his fiancees that he's passing them up for an android (I can picture
the
carnage now.....).

Why? This is Starcraft. We got enough carnage as it is.

Heck, imagine Ranma admitting that he's passing up ANY of his
fiancees... for one thing, they wouldn't believe him.

I just got an image of Nuku playing with a bunch of Reaver Scarabs
*shudder*

Me, I got a picture of uber-Nuku Nuku playing with zerglings like she
used to play with mice... @_@

ENT again! You have a good backdrop, go for it! Although realize
that this story could, and probably should get dark.

I have to agree, though personally I don't care much for dark stories...
still, if it fits, go with it.
