Gosh, how long has it been between posts, really? Hmm... somehow I
really can't believe it's been that long...
Two years.
Yes, the Nikholas F. Toledo Zu has been an FFML entity for just a little
more than two years. Nope, not as long as some of the fixtures and
legends of the list, but I'm glad to report that we do get some reaction
every so often.
Jeez, makes me feel nostalgic all of a sudden.
First of all, kudos, congrats and some to Radler, who made a landmark of
graduating this March. Hopefully, the rest of us will follow in short
order. Nope, no get-together, no Zu party, no anime convention at
Megatrade Hall during Holy Week.
We could have celebrated by reposting the entirety of your works, Radler,
but Angel's Chronicles is currently undergoing a make-over (the rewriting
and posting of the first chapter is just a week old) and I don't think
you'll like threats over the continuation of some other series which could
be sparked by a reposting. :)
On the lighter note, Radler is sort of an older brother, having been
releasing Angel's Chronicles for almost a year before the Zu came to the
FFML (right before the Move of 1997).
So what else is there to talk about? Progress, the lack of it, hard disk
crashes, suspended e-mail accounts, real life, the lack of that, looking
for jobs, upgrades, Playstations, and the end of it all. What do I mean:

THE WEBPAGE:
Okay, so Geocities tends to be slow. They try, y'know. :)
So I've put in text copies and zip copies of the fics on the site - now
it's past the 11 MB limit. I will be moving the personal pages to the
Church of All Worlds site, which Scriviner and I will revamp soon. I
got my Dreamweaver... :)
Also, watch for the expansion of the Artworks page. Yebah and NomaD's
works will soon be joined by Chaos's and Pinball's hands at creation!

THE CORE GROUP:
Whoa. Where'd that come from? Yebah and goo still lived where I did, and
goo stlll was the Logo Designer Flunkie. Rain Man was still Don Juan and
writing The Three-Fold God's Path, and Vector was still a part of the Zu.
Switch: Hmmm... well, still planning to finish the first book of the fic
Switch (down to the last three chapters). Add to that another Tsubasa (K)
fic or two, my plans to write a sequel to Rain Man's Gossamer Weave, plus
Age Don't Matter, and my plans for Tenchi fanfiction domination. :)
The latter is in the form of an OAV continuation series and a four part
Tenchi/X-Files meld. Other than spamfics, the webpage, ShadowSphere and
collaborations (whew!), including editing duties, that's all I'll ever do
here. So please, don't try to make me write more... :)
Vector: Still in denial. We'll get you back to writing soon...
Rain Man: So, okay, RM's supposed to be at Episode 4 of the rewrite of
the first season of the DragonBall epic, now entitled The Three Paths,
but what with plans for a sequel to Winner (c'mon, you're waiting for it,
too, right?) and a NEW mega-crossover (he's already given me the first
two chapters), you could say Rain's hands are tied up.
goo: The first of the HDD crash victims. Already on Chapter 6 of the
Ranma fic, Fire and Ice.
Pervert: We are collaborating on some projects - see Collaborations.
Yebah: I've got to give the artist a call - I need help on that webpage.

Scruples: Take a bow, Dane... on the ML, but lurking. Magsulat ka naman!
Hollie: Have to give a copy of the synopsis of Gundam Wing... could it
be that a new fic is in the works? :)
NomaD: On The Leper Part 14. I'm not quite sure what's in store, but
it better be soon...
Blitz: Owes me a fifteen page Ranma/Pretty Sammy fic. Don't ask.
Gee: I still have your grad pic! :) When I get to scan it, then...
Datzo: I would say sidetracked but that's not quite it. Busy, then.
Jewel: A monster downloader! I've got to remember to ask for some MP3s
that have been too bothersome to get...
elf: The resident Magic Knight is of course still working on both
Reunions and Tragedies and Through the Looking Glass, but distance and
lack of a hard disk can be such a hassle, ne? It's on the way...
Radler: Dear boy, still on the rewriting thing. Hope it don't take too
long. Yes, he does still remember everything he's doing.
Pinball: A change in their composition, the four are kind of getting
ready for college.
Mayhem: Aside for the bad, bad, bad posting I made for him earlier, he's
currently on the ball with the ShadowSphere prologue.
Chaos: Wyrd's two chapters have been written and re-written, so expect a
posting.
Father: He's so forgetful! He's supposed to be writing but he keeps
forgetting to put his name on it...
Attar: Hmm... anyone home?
Llewe: Out of touch at this point.
COLLABORATIONS:
ShadowSphere is, like our webpage, on hold until Mayhem gets the second
half of the prologue done. After that, no less than twelve writers will
be pitching in to deliver the first wave of stories, under the control
i.e. machinations of myself and Mayhem.
Rain and I have been working on Wandering Boy Bob - most of chapter 3
will be mine. A mid-chapter 3.5 will be co-written with a special guest,
hopefully. Also, a Shinesman fic, a Ranma/GoldenBoy fic and the alternate
universe madness known as Kasumi 1/2 will be out (as soon as we finish the
second half of the first ep.)
I hear NomaD and elf are talking Ranma, but I'm not in the know at the mo'.
Pervitch is currently working on the Ranma/Sailor Moon fic, First Born,
and an alternate Evangelion fic based on the five minutes everyone knows.
Lastly, mostly to remind myself and Scriv, he and I will be working on the
Tenchi/Sailor Moon meld and a Mighty Orbots revamp.

THE FUTURE:
Who knows what the future holds for us, eh? I have been wanting to get
some work done in voice-acting. :) None of us are getting younger, all
that. We hope that there'll be more good to come of us here, and
hopefully more of us will actually be on the net, mingling. Kinda hard
speaking for all two dozen of us, s'all.
If you want to ask about other works of ours which we've implied to be
continuing, like The Adventures of Mousse, Memories, Whoremonger, Lunar
Urge, The Kiyone Chronicles, ask for 'em! We just might do the tricks
and jump the hoops.
