With the flickering of the flames across the walls, illuminating a
small, damp room, hidden deep within a mountain of rock and sand, a ritual
was being preformed dating back to an unknown period in time. A pentagon had
been inscribed into the ground, with each pentacle of the star pointing to an
individual wearing a robe. Each robe differed in length, color and design.
The four basic elements of nature and one of man was represented: Fire,
Water, Earth, Air and Soul. In the middle of the room, a single egg laid.
The size and color of the egg distinguished it as being rare, unique and
priceless beyond imagine. Looking closely, hidden within the shadows of one
of the four corners of the room, a young lady with wings and armor was
holding a package, awaiting the resurrection of her Lord from his reddish
oval tomb.
As the chanting became louder, all five robed individuals raised one
hand upward and the other at the egg. In languages so ancient that they were
forgotten by all but a few handful individuals, they commanded the same
elements transcribed on their robes.
>From the flames,
Burning bright and true,
Release the soul of our Lord,
Return him to his people,
By the ancient convent,
Let the Phoenix rise once more.
The lone egg was suddenly engulfed in flames as the last syllable was
spoken. When the light of the room dimmed, back to what it was before the
sudden flames, where an egg sat, now there was a baby. His eyes betrayed the
innocence of his looks. Within the two orbs, wisdom which dated back close
to a millennium were clearly visible to those who knew what to look for.
Outside of the circle, the winged lady prepared to approach the infant. A
smile spread across her face as she witnessed the revival of her lord,
Saffron, his return to power.
"Soon Saotome Ranma, the people of Mount Phoenix will have their
revenge," Kira spoke, as she approached her Lord.
