The Girl I Once Knew

   I haven't written a fanfic in a long time, and I hope this one
turned out OK.  Thank you for reading!  It was an attempt to imitate
old pulp fictions, and for the first section or two was vaguely
imitative of Charles William's _Flight to Nowhere_.  There was a NY
Times article last Tuesday about the joys of writing cheesy pulp
fiction, and it sounded fun...

   If you liked the story, or have any thoughts, I would really

Having read several of my sister's A.A. Fair novels when growing 
up, this was really something special, a style I haven't read in 
a while.  It also has a sort-of Jack Higgins "twist" as the end.

Two minor nitpicks: I'm no expert on Japan, but given Japan's gun 
laws, having some idea how Akane gets a gun would be nice, though 
it's not a critical element.  Also, to which side of the coin is 
Nabiki, wanting Ranma to "try" the cure, or understanding of his 
situation?  Did I just miss it, or is it undecided?  (If she's 
forgiving of Ranma's actions, it would have been nice to have the 
two make up, or at least acknowledge "no harm, no foul"; of 
course, if she was in on Akane's plot, well then....)

I liked it a *lot*, I haven't seen a fic this good in a while.  
(Of course, I haven't read *any* fics in a while.... ^_^)

By the way, your name, McKinLey Morganfield...that can't be real, 
can it?  It _sounds_ like a pulp fiction name.  (No insult 
intended if it is your real name. ^_^)
