 Quite frankly, there's little I find to be happy about.
 I will not abuse whatever power I may hold on this list (whatever that
may be-- nothing). I retain a measure of respect and dignity in doing
so. I ask... never beg... that any of you others planning on doing your
own April Fools joke to be VERY careful (I would prefer it didn't happen
at all, but that is a futile hope); as seen earlier, someone didn't
appear to take Kristia Perry's early arrival very well, and it could get
worse, if not handled carefully (subjectivity and interpretation at work
here). I mean, I knew this original message was another prank, simply
due to gut reaction (same goes for every other 'Earth-shattering' news
that happens today), but I'm sure it's not this way for everybody else.
 I am not trying to be a party pooper.
Why this has to happen today is beyond me.

Ya know... April Fool's was meant to be fun, and most people have fun with
it and everybody usually laughs when they realize they have been had. But
things can get out of hand sometimes: as a prime example, a few years ago I
made a claim on April Fool's Day to the FFML that my fanfic had been
accepted by a major anime company to be used for an upcoming series return.
I worded the email I had alledgedly received from said company very
carefully to seem real, but at the end of it all, I wrote "April Fools".

Well...

As anyone knows who was witness to that event, that April Fool's prank went
WAY awry. The person using the pseudonym Hitomi (yes it is a pseudonym, and
no this is not an April Fool's prank) took me seriously and replied to the
list that I was making a false claim. This quickly escalated to a flame war
between "Hitomi" and someone else on the list and when the fire was out,
what a mess. While the details of that mess are not really important now,
what is important is that April Fool's pranks can take unexepected turns,
so be very careful, but make sure you *and* the target of your prank will
laugh or at least grin, when it is all over.
