Well, it figures. Once again, after changing everything I needed to
change, I'm switching ISPs and E-mail addresses. This one should be a bit
easier- I'm going back to desaix@sysnet.net. This isn't effective
immediately (though that address has never stopped being able to recieve
mail) as I haven't switched most of my mailing lists back over, and haven't
restored my FFML subscription yet (which is why I'm sending this from the
AT&T account), but will be soon.
Why? Well, frankly, the new ISP is very disappointing- part of it is my
system, but Sysnet WAS more compatible with my system by a long shot...
Also, it's slower, and it has points at which it goes down as well, only
these have been happening almost once a day (if only for a few minutes each
day) instead of once or twice every few months... Also, Sysnet got off its
butt and apologized, letting me know of what actually happened, and
promised a couple of months free service to make up for it. Besides, it
wasn't really my idea to switch ISPs in the first place...
I know all the change\changing back sequences are annoying, but I've had a
lot of trouble with ISPs recently... and now that Sysnet has replaced and
shaken the bugs out of ALL of their servers and modems (including Y2k
problems, supposedly), it should be more reliable than before.
