"Oh kon nee mah..."

Goskungi stared deep into the fire.  He had seen Rei get visions of the
future from this source; surely there had to be some magic power.

"Oh, Sacred Fire..."

'Magic power' to him was like honey to a fly.  Within a day, Goskungi
started trying to date the priestess, eager to milk her for her
secrets.

"...grant me my heart's desire."

Eventually, he won enough of her trust that she was willing to leave him
alone with the heart of her temple for a moment.  It took a lot of
pleading and begging, but in the end, an appeal to make a 'special
wish' had won out.

"Lay a hex on Ranma..."

Perhaps she had thought him romantic, or perhaps his puppy dog stare had
won her over.  Either way, he would master the power she so idly wasted,
and use it to wrench Akane away from his enemy.

"...and give me power to...gwa?"

Goskungi could feel his body changing almost immediately.  The magic was
working!  He felt an overtone of rage - possibly some demonic taint of
the magic, but no matter: it was easily directed into a desire to
destroy Ranma.  Destroy Ranma.  Destroy...destroy...

"Ow!"  Ranma removed and examined the hexagonal wreath that came at him
out of nowhere.  A simple construction of flowers and stems; Ranma knew
he could do similar in three minutes flat.  Too bad it would not be
useful as a martial art.

"You like it?"  Akane beamed.  He looked so handsome when she laid it on
him.

"Hmm...well...it's cuter than you."

"RAAAAANMAAAAAA!"

Rei smiled as she watched Goskungi transform into a demon.  She smelled
his evil intentions when she first laid eyes on him...that, or he had
been wearing really obnoxious cologne that day.  Betting on the former,
she decided to help him out.  Haruka had been bragging about how few
monsters any of the Inner Senshi, other than Usagi, actually managed to
defeat, so Rei had been looking for something like this to pop up.  She
thought Makoto would find something before her, but no way was she going
to pass this up.  Now for the...

"MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!"

Not believing her ears, Sailor Mars burst into the room, too late.
Goskungi fainted after reverting, effectively leaving Mars and Moon
alone together.

"Oh, hi, Rei.  Grampa said you'd be in here, but I only found this
nasty monster, and why are you banging your head against the wall?"

"Damn it..."
