Almost a month's worth, now, at one repetition per day.  I tend 
to keep the timeline a little bit vague, mostly from laziness.

I can rephrase that.  Right.

Wasn't her name Natsume?

Probably.  I blame RpM.  I checked the spelling off "Pursuit of
Happiness."  If the real Japanese name is "Natsume," I'll just
go back and change it.

I could be wrong, but at least in the dub I'm pretty sure they called
her Natsume.

My very limited reference book on Japanese names doesn't include
either.  >sigh<  I may have to dig around on the Internet some to see
if there's some other resource that can clear the matter up as to which
spelling would be more authentic.  If I had the subtitled version of that
tape... oh well.

Yeah, that did come to mind when I was planning that scene in HaM. But
the ability to change forms there depended as much on Kasumi's subtle
manipulations on the curse spirits during the plane trip (note who she
made a point of sitting next to) as it did on the actual "training."

Well, Kasumi seems a lot more competent than those clowns.  

Also, it's hard to believe that that was the JPS' intent. They were
supposedly there because of concern over "abuses" of the curse, and
making it easier for the victims to change would only worsen that.

 There's no justification for their
existence that I can see, so we have to assume that they are simply
a gang of fools who go around annoying people all the time (which is
not a concept entirely foreign to the Ranman 1/2 universe).

Okay, *that* I'll buy.

Perhaps a bit more text to that effect is in order.  

Yeah, that's a good idea.
