True, unfortunately the lateness of the arrangements made it hard to
attract a diverse crowd.
Such happens. It would have helped if the panel time hadn't moved
either. Granted, it was better than running against Mari Ijima, but not
by much.
Peter has mentioned he's going to try and arrange it more than a week in
advance next year and maybe we can get a longer time.
That would be good. Fanfic panels really need to be longer than an
hour, IMHO. All organizers take note. ^_^
the one at Anime Iowa '98 was 90 minutes - 2 hours (I forget). There was no
problem filling the time at all.
