Actually, the question was _why_ are lemon fanfics called lemon. Not
what are lemon fanfics.

	Actually, the precise origin of the term has been lost in
the mists of pre-anime history. However, it is generally agreed
that the term most likely comes from an erotic anime series that
was aired under the title "Cream Lemon Special", of which I happen
to have one tape, "Cream Lemon Special: Heartbreak Live". It's a
XXX series, albeit one with lots of mosaic-type video censorship
done on it in the traditional japanese style.

	I'm told it was pretty popular in Japan in it's time, and
it seems reasonable to assume that the title loaned itself to all
sorts of Japanese erotica.. that is, if it's erotic, it's 'Lemon'.
