Apparently, I wasn't clear in my last post.

This thread is ended. Over and done with. It shouldn't have been started
in the first place, and the next person who replies to it is getting
tempbanned.

As I said, questions asked on the list can and usually should be answered
privately. If you feel the need to scold someone because you don't think
they've read the FAQ, that can be done privately too. So too can scoldings
of people who you think have unfairly scolded someone else. Especially
when ten people have already made the same point.

The whole point here is consideration of others. The list population at
large doesn't need or want to see a rebuke that's only directed at one
person. The person in question may or may not deserve to have his mailbox
filled up with replies to his post, but the rest of the ilst doesn't.
