Getting back to Clark for a moment, though.... Personally, I do feel
that the
first name Clark is common enough not to warrent being the butt of
endless
superman jokes unless a) his last name WAS Kent, or b) he was a dead
ringer
for the man. (This would include the various actors who have played the
roll
such as Chris Reves or Dean Cain)
Must have had a hard time with Together Again 1996. I mean, the man's
name was _Kent Clarke_ Masefield, if simply the name Clarke is enough to
make you think Reeves or Cain, then his full name reversed + an E must have
been overwhelming.
Personally I don't remember any Superman jokes about Clark, but I can't
see why there would be. As you said, Clark is a common enough name as to
not be immediately associated with the last son of Krypton, but who knows
how people think on the FFML at large. (Besides, with the way Biles and
Davies like to mishmosh everything together, I wouldn't be surprised if
superman showed up. I mean, Davies has Tarzan in his timeline and Biles
has Johnny Quest and John McClaine in Dance of Shiva, anything is
possible.)

(I see Kent more as Bateau from Ghost in the Shell, and Clark kinda as a
young Harrison Ford (especially the way he acts and how the women die over
him. :) ))
