	This is the continuation of part one.  It ends sort of abrubtly but that's the effect I wanted.  Once again I need to thank my sister, my best friend Amanda, and all of the other fan-fic authors who inspired me.  Please send me your input at Queen_Morgana@yahoo.com.

				"A Close Call: Part 2" 

	Renie lay on the bed coughing up blood.  Serena gasped, ran over to the bed and set her tray down.  "HELP!" Serena shouted as she ran down to the nurse's station.  "Renie in room 115 is coughing up blood!"
	Some nurses ran down to the room and one kept Serena out of there.  "Renie!  Please, ma'am I need ot see her!"
	"It's okay dear, they'll take very good care of her," the nurse reassured Serena.  Just then they wheeled Renie out of the room.  The nurse who had been with Serena quickly consulted with another nurse.  "They're taking her down to ICU.  Why don't you call your family?"
	"Mm-hmm," Serena was very worried.  She went to the phone and Luna came and talked to her.
	"You see what happened?" Luna scolded.  She was about to continue when she saw the look of true worry on Serena's face.
	"Hey mom, dad, they've taken Renie down to ICU," Serena said, her voice full of emotion.
	"We'll ve right over," her parents replied simultaneously.
	"No, it's okay, I don't think there's much you can do," Serena muttered.
	"Well, call us if we can do anything," her parents responded.
	" 'Bye," Serena hung up.  She picked the phone back up and called Darien.  "Darien, it's me, Serena.  Don't hang up.  They took Renie down to ICU."
	"What happened?" Serena could hear the concern in his voice.
	"She started coughing up blood and that's all I know," Serena answered.
	"I'll be right over," this time she did not object.  They both hung up.
	"Serena, I'm sure Renie will be fine," Luna comforted her.  "Let's go find out if we can see her yet."
	They walked in silence to the nurse's station.  "Excuse me, I was wondering if I could see Renie yet, she moved down to ICU."
	"I believe so, go down and check with the Unit Clerk down there," the clerk replied.  Serena went and got her lunch.  Then, Luna and her walked down and Serena repeated her question.  "No, but if you'd like, you may go eat in the waiting room and I'll let you know shen you may go see her," the Unit Clerk answered.
	A little while later as Serena was earing her food Darien came in and saw her in the waiting room.  "How is she?"
	"I don't know, since she came down here they haven't let me see her,"  Serena responded.  He sat down next to her.  "Would you like some chips?" 
	"Sure, thank you," he took some chips and munched them nervously.
	Serena finished her food and the two sat in silence until the Unit Clerk came out.  "You may go see her now.  She's sedated so you probably will not get any reaction from her."
	They both jumped up and rushed into the room.  Serena immeadiately went over and picked up Renie's hand.  Lita, Mina, Ami and Rei wandered inot the room looking a little confused.  "Hi Serena, hi Darien!  We went up to the room Renie was in this morning and you weren't there.  So, we asked the clerk and she told us you were down here.  What happened?" Ami replayed the events.
	"Renie started coughing up blood so they brought her down here," Serena explained.
	From behind thir backs Lita produced a plate of cookies, Rei some flowers, Mina some balloons and Ami a book.  "They have her sedated so she won't be able to enjoy them but thank you," Serena said for Renie.
	"That's okay we'll leave them here so that when she wakes up she can see them," Mina replied cheerfully.  Rei put the flowers in water and the rest left their presents on a table.
	"How are you?" Lita asked of Serena.
	"Oh, I'm okay but I'm very worried about Renie," Serena answered.
	Instinctively Darien went up behind her and put his hands on her shoulders.  Mina stifled her girlish giggles.  As soon as he realized what he was doing he removed his hands and moved back a few steps.   
	Serena was surprised by the warm touch on her shoulders but immeadiately recognised it as Darien's touch and was pleased.  She felt disappointment rise in her soul as he removed his hands and stepped back.  She also heard girlish giggles and wondered if they had anything to do with why Darien moved away.  And for that she was a little upset but that feeling quickly subsided and was replaced by worry.  <Oh Renie, please don't die.  I promise I'll be nicer to you.>  She had a feeling that was why Renie ran away.
	Ami broke the silence, "We brought your homework.  All you have to do is sign your name."
	"Wow, thanks guys, you did my homework for me?" Serena was really surprised but she went along wiht it and signed her name.  "You'll turn it in for me?"
	"Of course," Lita smiled at her.
	"Well, we've got to go do our homework.  See you later," Rei began walking out, she had a hard time seing Renie and Serena in this condition.  She couldn't admit it to anyone else but she was very fond of the pair, especially Serena.  The three other girls said their goodbyes and left.
	Serena looked over at Darien, "Your eyes are really bloodshot, do you want to go back home and sleep?"
	"No, I'd rather stay here," he was afraid that if he went home something else would happen to Renie.  So, Darien went over and sat in a chair in a corner of the room.  His heart told him to go comfort her but his brain remembered the dream and wouldn't let him.
	While she wasn't looking, Darien would sit and watch her.  Her beauty made him sorry for anything he had ever done to hurt her.  As soon as she started to move her head, he would avert his eyes and stare at Renie.  <If only I could figure that dream out.>  Darien was mad at himself for not knowing what the dream meant.
	<Darien, why won't you look at me?!  I feel your eyes on me, why can't our eyes meet for even a fraction of a second?>
	Each time Serena looked at him she fell more in love.  Eventually she would stop staring at him and look back at Renie.
	No matter how hard he fought it, Darien couldn't stay awake.  So, he gave up trying and let himself slip silently into slumber.
	Serena no longer felt his eyes on her so she turned to him and saw that he had fallen asleep.  "Poor Darien, I knew you didn't get enough sleep,"  Serena said to the sleeping figure.  She walked over and tenderly kissed his forehead.  Serena returned to her seat and watched her true love.
	Darien was having _the dream_ again.  Serena and him were getting married, they were so happy.  She gently kissed him on the forehead.  Suddenly the ground split and they were separated.  "Serena!" he shouts as she falls away from him.
	He awoke with a jolt and he was sweating profusely.  "What's wrong?" Serena quustioned.
	"Nothing," Darien shook it off and replied coldly.
	"C'mon Darien, I can tell when something's wrong.  Maybe I can help," Serena coaxed him.
	"I said, nothing's wrong!" he turned and stared out the window.
	"Fine, don't talk to me," Serena stuck her nose up in the air.  "I'm going to go get a soda."  She walked out of the room in a huff.
	While she was gone, Darien decided to sample the cookies that Lita brought.  < I know my words hurt her, but what else can I do until I understan the dream?>  Darien sat there, searching his soul for an explanation.
He decided to go to Andrew for help.  Forgetting Serena wasn't there to watch Renie, Darien left the hospital.
	Sailor Pluto kenw this was her chance.  She appeared in the hospitaland took the small girl in her arms.  "They cannot heal you here, Small Lady," her boice was gentle and loving.  They disappeared into thin air.
	Serena walked into the room, humming softly.  She was shocked to see that neither Renie nor Darien was in the room.  Serena gasped, "Renie!  Darien!"  She looked around the room quickly before rushing out of the hospital and to Darien's apartment.  Serena pounded on the door, "Darien!  It's me, Serena!  What have you done with Renie?"  She stood there waiting for a response until finally, she gave up and ran to Rei's temple.
		MEANWHILE:
	Sailor Pluto and Renie were at the Gate of Time.  Everything was in pastels and they appeared to be in the clouds.  Renie's eyes fluttered open, trying to figure out where she was.  "Am ... I dead?" she asked hesitantly.
	"No, Small Lady, you are here with me at the Gate of Time," came the reply as Sailor Pluto appeared.
	"Luna P?  What happened?  The last thing I remember is running across a street and a big truck came," Renie was very confused.
	"It's okay, you were in a hospital but they could not heal you so I brought you here.  I can heal you," Pluto calmed her down.
	"What do you mean, they couldn't heal me?  What's wrong with me?" Renie was concerned now.
	"The people of the past did not know all of what was wrong with you.  They understand only a part of what happened.  When you got hit by that truck, it weakened you enough that the Negamoon got to you.  Please calm down, Small Lady,"  Pluto's voice remained calm.
	Renie gasped, "The Nega moon?!"
	<So like her mother.>  "Yes, they are after you because they know you are very strong," Pluto explained.
	"Oh, Luna P, I wish I had never run away," Renie started to cry.
	"Don't cry, Small Lady, I can fix everything," Pluto patted her on the back.  Renie continued to cry.
		MEANWHILE:
	Serena flew up the steps to Rei's temple and found Rei sweeping the ground.  "Rei!  Renie and Darien are missing!"
	"Slow down, what happened?" Rei had a hard time understanding what Serena was saying.  
	"I said, Renie and Darien are missing are missing.  I left the room to get a pop and when I got back they were gone," Serena repeated herself.
	"Wow, what do you think happened?" Rei was shocked.
	"At first I thought Darien took her but now, I'm not sure," Serena replied.
	"Why don't we call the others?" Rei suggested.
	Serena pulled out her communicator, "Hey guys, come to Rei's temple, I need your help."
	Lita, Mina and Ami ran out their houses.  They all arrived at the same time, out of breath.  "What's up?" Lita asked.
	"Renie and Darien are missing!" Serena exclaimed.
		MEANWHILE:
	Darien and Andrew were sitting at the bar in the cafe where Lizzy worked.  "So, what do you need?" Andrew asked Darien.
	"I need your help in understanding a dream I've been having," Darien took a sip of his drink.
	"And what makes you think I will be able to help?" Andrew didn't know what he would be able to do.
	"I don't know, something just told me you would be able to help me," Darien wasn't sure why he had come to Andrew but there he was.
	"I'll see what I can do for you.  So, what happens in this dream of yours" Andrew got ready to listen.
	"Well, it has to do with my x-girlfriend.  We were getting married and we were so happy.  Suddenly, the ground split and she was falling away from me.  I tried to save her but it was too late.  Then a voice said to me, 'Stay away from her.'  This dream is actually the reason I broke up with her," Darien replayed the events of the dream for Andrew.
	"That's sort of complicated.  Let me get this straight, you broke up with this girl because of this dream?" Andrew was thinking hard about the meaning.  Darien could almost see the wheels turning in his head.
	"Yes, in my dream, the voice also told me that if we stayed together, she would get hurt.  I didn't want her to get hurt because of me," Darien explained himself.
	"That sounds prety harsh to dump a girl because of a dream.  Do you still like her?" Andrew questioned.
	"Absolutely, in fact I think I love her," Darien wondered how this was helping him interpret his dream.
	"Well, if you still like her, I think youu should put this dream out of your head and get back with her," Andrew wasn't sure what else  to say.
	"But what if the dream is right and she gets hurt because of me?" Darien took another drink.  Suddenly he remembered that he had left Renie in the hospital room, all alone.  Darien jumped up and ran out of the cafe, leaving Andrew sitting at the bar bewildered.
	Darien ran into Renie's room and found no one there.  He rushed out to the nurse's station.  "Where's Renie?"
	"Room 307," the nurse didn't understand that Renie was missing.
	"No, she's missing!" Darien ran out and headed towards Serena's house.  He knocked on the door and Serena's mother answered.  "Is Renie here?" 
	"No, she's in the hospital," before she could say anything else, Darien ran off, heading to Rei's temple.  
	He found the scouts conversing in the front, Serena looked upset, "Where's Renie?" Darien shouted.  
	"I was going to ask you the same question," Serena and the other scouts spun around and faced him.
		MEANWHILE:
	"Your friends in the past are very concerned about you, especially Serena," Pluto was mixing something up with her back turned to Renie.
	"What are you talking about, Serena's not my friend, she doesn't even like me," Renie whined. 
	"Not so, Small Lady, she cares deeply about you," Pluto told her.
	"How can that be?  She's always so mean to me," Renie was sitting on a bench, watching Pluto very carefully.
	"Believe me, she does care for you.  Remember when Rubius tried to take you and she protected you?" Puto continued to stand with her back towards Renie.
	"Yea, I guess you're right," Renie sighed.  "Do they know where I am?"
	"No, they don't, once you are healed I will put you back at the time I took you," Pluto explained her plan.
	"What will happen until then?" Renie was full of questions.
	"It will not be that long but they will just have to wait," Pluto finished mixing the potion and handed it to Renie.  "Drink this."  The small girl did as she was instructed.
		MEANWHILE: 
	"What?!  You don't know where Renie is?  I left to get a pop, thinking you would take care of her.  And you just LEFT HER THERE ALONE?!" Serena's voice rose in level with every word.
	Darien held his hands up to his ears in response to her loud voice.  "I thought you wouldn't be gone that long and she would be okay."
	"For all we know, the Negamoon could have her!  You know they've been wanting to get her!" Serena continued shouting.
	"Calm down, Serena, you don't know for sure that the Negamoon has her," Ami tried to calm her down.
	"Where did you go anyway?" Serena ignored Ami.
	"I had to go talk to a friend," Darien answered vaguely.
	"What was so urgent that you left Renie alone?" Serena lowered her voice a little.
	"None of your business," Darien told her off. 
	"I think it is if it's the reason that Renie is missing," Serena was slowly growing very frustrated with him.
	"I promised to meet Andrew at the cafe, he had something he need to talk to me about," Darien lied to her.
	She could tell from listening to him and watching him that he was lying.  "Don't lie to me!" she rose her voice again.
	"I'm going to go look for Renie," Darien whirled around and left.
	"How rude!  Let's go scouts!"  Serena and the others ran off and transformed.
		MEANWHILE:
	Renie yawned, "I'm so tired."
	"That's one of the effects of the potion.  You may go ahead and sleep," Pluto told her.  Renie laid down and fell into a deep sleep.  "Small Lady, you will be okay."  Renie did not stay asleep long, when she awoke Pluto sensed she was okay.  "It is time for you to go back."  She picked Renie up in her arms and disappeared.
		MEANWHILE:
	The scouts ran down the street toward and abandoned warehouse.  Once they got inside Sailor Moon shouted, "Emerald, come here!"
	Emerald couldn't resist the chance to catch the scouts.  "What do you want?" 
	"Where is Renie?" Sailor Moon yelled.
	"How should I know?" Emerald planned her attack.  
	"Come on, we know you took her," Sailor Moon accused her.
	"I did no such thing," Emerald threw a blast of dark energy at them.  The senshi prepared themselves for the blast.  Before the scouts could retaliate, Emerald hit them again.  She cackled, "Now I've got you, Sailor Moon!"
	The scouts had been knocked oof their feet.  Emerald got ready to attack again.  Just then Pluto appeared, Sailor Moon gasped, "Oh, Renie!"
	"No more, leave now, Emerald," Pluto demanded.  She mumbled something to herself.  She handed Renie, who had once again fallen asleep, to Sailor Moon.  "I had to take her so I could heal her."
	"Thank you, Sailor Pluto," Sailor Moon said as Tuxedo Mask appeared.
	Pluto disappeared again, "So the Negamoon didn't get her after all," Tuxedo Mask retorted.
	"That's not the point!  The point is that they could have taken her and then we might not have ever seen her again!" the shouting woke Renie up.
	"Luna P?" she asked as she opened her eyes.
	"No Renie, it's me, Sailor Moon," she told the small girl.  Automatically the senshi changed back into their "everyday" form.  "How are you feeling?"
	"Fine, now put me down," Renie struggled to get away.
	Serena put her down, "Looks like you're back to normal."
	Renie ran over to Darien and he stooped down to give her a hug.  "How would you like to go get some ice cream?"
	"Absolutely!" Renie exclaimed.
	"You scouts are invited too," Darien looked in their dircetion.  The senshi all nodded and the group walked off.                                                                                    AT THE ICE CREAM PARLOR:
	The whole group was sitting at a table finishing off their ice cream. Renie, Ami, Mina, Rei, and Lita got up first, leaving Serena and Darien behind. Serena got up to join the others and Darien grabbed her arm.
	"Serena, I'm sorry," she looked at him with a puzzled look. "What I'm trying to say is, do you want to  go to the movies tonight?" Darien rushed through the last sentence.
	"No, Darien. I've found someone else," she got up, leaving him sitting there, alone and confused.
			THE END
	See, it does end quickly but that's all that was needed for this story.  I plan to make a sequal series to this, I don't know what it will be, so be on the lookout.
