Yes, of course we all know that Akane is such a sadist that she'd use
such a thing without even a trace of hesitation or compunction. And of
course we don't need to be told what's going through her mind, because
it's just going to be mad cackling and nya-ha-has anyhow.

Of course that could just be a response to turning Ukyo into a dog, 
which I found a bit excessive.  Personally I thought Ukyo should have
been turned back into the little five-year-old she was when Ranma made
the promise.  That would be closer to justice to my mind, and a good 
deal less insulting.  

However, Misfortune would make more sense to me if Akane was more 
impulsive, buying the mirror as soon as the salesman told her that it 
would avert misfortune, without realising that it would give the 
misfortune to someone else and then accidentally used it on Ukyo.  
Ukyo is, after all, far from Akane's least favourite person.
