O.K., here are my 2 cents:
Every fanfic is a self insertation. Yep! Well, almost every fanfic.
Think about it. If someone introduces a new character, that character's
personality can only equal what the author's personality is. At least...

I came across this webpage a while ago, and it was an interesting look at one of the
biggest annoyances with SI-type fics.  I can't recall if this thread has been banned yet.
