1. Kosaku being listed in the undercard as
weighing in at 125 lbs. Not in a million years.
One of the early 1PG stories has him facing the
man he clobbered in his Boxing Test in a grudge
match. The guy had been training for two years
to beat the crap out of Kosaku in revenge for
the dentures he now had to wear, and had to eat
and eat and eat to catch up to Kosaku's rise up
the weight classes. I believe Kosaku was in the
145 lbm weight class for the fight.
In the last manga story (the one with the Shampoo-chested woman who
moves into Kosaku's apartment after her boyfriend (Kosaku's next
opponent) apparently hits her), he fights an eight-round featherweight
bout. That weight class is 120-126 lbs. He was also a featherweight in
the next-to-last manga story, against the taco cook.
2. What was Sister Angela doing pushing all those
bowls of ramen on Kosaku? If anything, she'd be
giving him hell for cheating on his diet!
What has happening was supposed to be a ritual the two go through: he
orders lots of food, they pray over it, they talk for a while, they pray
again, then she wraps up the food and takes it with her and he goes back
to the gym. Note that nowhere during the scene does Kosaku actually
*eat* anything. I didn't want to spell this out, hoping people would
pick it up from the context. It's the way Angela and Kosaku have worked
together to control his eating urges.
3. The end was a little sudden, I think. I'm going to
have to side with Gary here, and wonder about Sister
Angela's giving up on the Church so easily.
Yeah, prolly right. I'll work on this.
A good fic all in all. If B-ko could keep from getting
sick all over the keyboard, she'd tell you herself.
Hehehe. Feel better, B-ko. :)
