Apart from an initial boggle, why would any of them care?  Zombie-boy has no
masculinity issues.  Gendo only cares about Shinji's usefulness as a tool.
Asuka only cares about her own fragile self-esteem although it would provide
another handy taunt.  With the end of humanity approaching, somehow a gimmick
like that just doesn't seem like a big deal.
