Sorry, but I don't buy that. Not at all.

There aren't C&C genes that determine who can and can't produce useful
C&C. It's a learned skill. The way to get good at it is to do it.

One of the most useful things I can get from C&Cers is, how did they
experience the story? Which parts made them laugh, which parts made them
yawn, which parts made them want to phone their lawyers? Of course, it's
more helpful if they can tell me *why* they felt the way they did, and
suggest ways to improve things; but that's not necessary. Once I know
where a problem is, I can try to figure it out myself.

	I know that the only useful info I can give anyone is that they are capable
of hold my attention for over three seconds.  And it's not because I'm busy
trying to remember where the delete key is.

And that's a good start right there.

	Oh, yeah, and as I'm sure the list would be better off with much less spam
about all of this, private replies please.
