Okay, I've been making statements that I was going to do an Eva/Iczer-1
crossover for a while now, and I've finally got some storyline ideas, so I
may be able to write it relatively soon. Therefore, here's a teaser.
BTW, I'm still in that sticky patch with Lightsphere, and I need
suggestions for it.

Her body - hers no more. Her mind - desperate.
{Forgive me, Iczer-One. I can't stop! I can't control myself any longer!
So please... shoot me! Kill me!}
Her enemy - the one who caused this.
"Interesting ... *can* you shoot her, Iczer-One?"
Her friend. No, more. Far more.
"Nagisa, forgive me, but I just can't fire, I just can't bring myself to
shoot you."
Her planet.
{Iczer-One! If you die, what will happen to the Earth? Please fight,
Iczer-One, Please!}
Her heart - burned through by an energy beam - the pain intense, but short.

Kano Nagisa awoke in the hospital, her arm in a cast and a breathing mask
on her face.

"No ... this is ... all wrong."
"I'm sorry, miss Kano." the doctor said, her attempt to sound sympathetic
not helping Nagisa's emotional state at all. "There was nothing we could
do for them."
"Mom ... Dad..." Nagisa's mind flashed back to the speeding car heading
toward their vehicle, the impact, the shattering glass - and then
blackness, until she awoke in the hospital. Her parents, dead so suddenly,
leaving her alone. It was just ... so *unfair*.
"Miss Kano," The doctor's voice interrupted her thoughts again. "I think
the best thing now would be for you to try and relax."
"No ... no, thank you." Nagisa said, the softness of her voice not
concealing her agitation and distress. "What happened to"
"The other driver sustained minor injuries, and was released five days
ago." The doctor answered her question before she had asked it. "He left
only the contact details he was legally required to. Would you like to see
them?"
"No." Nagisa responded weakly. "Not now."
"There's something else you should know." The doctor continued. "The only
living relatives of yours we were able to contact said they were unable to
take you in. However, one of your mother's friends has volunteered to
adopt you." She handed some papers to Nagisa, who held them close to her
eyes and read the name.
"Katsuragi Misato..."
