Looking back through my backlog of old unread stories...

OK, I'm really puzzled here.  Don't Galaxy Policemen require some kind 
of evidence to arrest people for attempted murder?  The only thing I see
here is a motive, and not a unique one.  Even the victim won't make an 
I.D. of her assailant.  While there are "guilty until proven innocent"
legal systems out there, normally they make a careful investigation 
before laying charges for just that reason, unless they are some kind of
corrupt despotism.  

Also, so far A has been no use at all.  He hasn't even given Ryoko 
emotional support or useful advice.
