Hi!

[about the bargain...]
I think that one of the things that tends to NOT happen to any extent in
SI fics is denial.

Yeah... I know if *I* ended up in a comic-book or TV-show world, I'd be utterly convinced (at least at first) that it was all just a dream, or a delusion, or that maybe I should stop taking the nice little yellow pills... ^_^

What about "Thomas Covenant goes anime" however?
which would be a sort of atheist's version of Chris's bargain.

Well, it's not really SI, but...

http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Museum/4728/unbeliever.html (as chucked at the FFML this past December I believe, with some minor adjustments)

A Slayers fic (well, the beginning thereof), where a girl from modern-day Earth somehow ends up in the Slayersverse. The first thing she does is convince herself that it's all a dream. Total denial. And it's quite heavily influenced (at least for now) by the "Chronicles of Thomas Covenant" trilogy (the first trilogy, that is).

Denial is fun to write, hee hee... ^_^ And it's also fun to plunk a character smack in the middle of a situation in which they have no idea what's going on. Watch how they react, figure out what's going through their poor deluded brain as they attempt to rationalize the situation...

Maybe I should get around to writing the second part, then ^_^;;;
